Bored of it

Bored of it

I'm bored of feeling like this. I don't want to go to hospital and I don't want to have to change even more things.

I'm sick of being overlooked. I'm sick of being bored. I'm sick of compulsive spending on stupid apps because it distracts me from real problems.

I try to deal with the real problem and yet nothing works. It's always 98% of the situation getting done. Never 100%. When something work in my favour?

I am sick of having nothing to do. I am putting myself out there to no avail. What is wrong with me? Am I just defunct? I don't know anymore and I really don't care.

Re: Bored of it

hi @MDT sorry to hear you're in a bad way.

I felt utterly stressed, anxious and depressed job searching for months on end with no offers coming back, no matter how much work & enthusiasm I put into my goal of getting a job. It is extremely stressful and difficult in my experience.

I volunteered for a year & that was critical to getting me out of the house and employed. I relied entirely on my volunteer bosses' references to get a library job, even though the volunteer work was in a totally unrelated field. I encourage you to start volunteering for all these reasons, its a very effective strategy for mental health and gaining employment.

I was unwell when I began volunteering and became unwell at many different times during the past year of volunteering. I found you can start and maintain it despite being unwell.

Re: Bored of it

you're welcome @MDT Hang in there, things will get better. I believe if things can get better for me they can for anyone.

I'm the most mentally unwell, dysfunctional person I know with the worst employment history I've ever heard of - including a 7 year bout of unemployment, workplace injuries, colleagues lodging complaints about me & being bullied by a manager who was an organisational sociopath. Weird. Yet somehow I was offered a job - I still have to perform at it & pass probation but it's a good change. I know how to interview well (as a matter of survival) but that's probably the only thing in my favour.

I thinks the odds are much better for you because you're young, have such a great employment history including recent employment, good references and you put so much effort into job seraching & your career. A company would be lucky to have you 'cos you're a special person.

I still encourage you to start volunteering to help your MI, routine/structure/time management & career.
