What are your life goals and ambitions. How close are you to achieving this, what is the one thing you can do take a step closer to your goals?

Hi every one,

Im curious to learn about other peoples goals and how they take steps in reaching them.

I have two- but they feel to me like they are some what conflicting. One is to "learn how" to save money and one day buy a small block out bush to build on.

My other goal is to let myself feel content/ happy in life no matter where i live or what situation i may be in at the time.

I write my self lots of lists or letters to myself for motivation- and let myself take tiny steps at a time along the way- i try not to rush myself

What do other people do to help them selves reach their goals?

And a month later the beds are built, filled, mulched and partly planted out 😄 More planting to do and then the next short term goal will be getting a water tank sorted out so the whole lot doesn't turn into a dustbowl over summer.

Yeah having your big goal is great way to directionalise yourself, but it really needs to get broken down into 'bite sized' chunks that are measurable and achievable. When you have that it is so much easier to gain that momentum and work your way towards the longer term.

Maybe we should have a monthly goals thread for this sort of thing so we can put some achievables out there and cheer each other on.

Hi everyone,

Thought I might contribute to the great little thread!

What I like to do is make up a little list each day of all the things that I have to do for that day. As I complete each one, I systematically cross them off my list. There's something very fullfulling in looking at my list of "things to do" and seeing them all crossed off. That's my small, achievable goal, trying to get the list done. Gives me a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

And if I don't complete something on the list, it just goes onto the list for the next day, and so forth (or until I lose interest in it ha ha!!). I write anything down on the list, however small.

When I'm done, I scrunch it up, throw it away and say "goals achieved". Then start again the next day.

It's just what I do....

Hobbit.

Hobbit sounds great. I'd like to put that on the top of my list. Thanks
