how is your friend today , hope all is ok

My friend is in a safer space today but still struggling. I have kept my offer of support open to them today. Lockdown limits my ability to be physically present but I am there virtually. Thanks for asking.

The need for mental health services when someone is struggling but not going into hospital was highlighted elsewhere on these forums recently. I agree this is a gap, with the current long wait lists for psychologist support under a MH plan. Telehealth is a vital lifeline though it really isn't close to face to face support.

Are others feeling distanced by the impacts of COVID on health care?

I know I am. Not being able to meet with my pdoc has changed the dynamic and I don't feel as supported. Like how can they truly check for physical side effects like tardive dyskinesia over the phone? They can't, that's what.

Sorry for the rant. My friend's crisis has bubbled over to impact me too. I'm ok and I'm safe. But this lockdown is not easy for anyone. Stay safe all 💜
