Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

L E T ' S P A R T Y !!!

And of course the beverage of your choice.

EDIT : Do feel free to contribute some music too. Of any style. The more the merrier ...

Welcome!!!

@Oaktree

Yes, the physical activity is important for mood stability. Now, I say that as if in the third person. It's important for me to increase the amount of exercise that I do. Getting out on the bicycle to go to shop. I use a backpack most of the time because I walk using a staff. So I can do the small amount of shopping required without using the car.

A few things have changed recently - fifth visit to speak with counselor on Thurs. Goodrapport and working relationship developed, about which I am pleased. The forum has given me - hard to describe, impetus, awareness, additional knowledge to help in determing futeure direction(s).

The cyclone actually pressed me to take some action and make decisions. "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good"

Cheers

@HenryX

I am glad that the forums have been so advantageous for you regarding counseling and your approach to it. Nice that you can get out on your bike to go to the shops. Not so nice if it rains I guess. Sometimes something that seems bad can actually be a good thing - change!
I am also finding the forums very educational on a range of fronts.

Hello @Snowie and @Oaktree

I agree with Meggle, Snowie, our messages are open, that's why I addressed both of you when I inserted myself in the conversation. My only concern is that using a phone is probably not as easy as a computer. However, the time it takes to write a note, gives each the opportunity to respond.

I remember, someone trying to write an assignment recently, talking about falling asleep at the computer, waking and finding a whole lot of one letter repeated on the screen.

@HenryX

I am typing on my phone too. A little annoying but more able to go with me.

By the way I came home. Hubby was glad to see me. He was trying to stay calm. In the meantime I had a lovely time watching the sun go down over the ocean

@Oaktree pets really are a life saver sometimes. I am sorry to hear that he passed away. They really are like another child.

@HenryX using a phone is much harder. I find that I use my computer a lot and rarely use my phone.

Glad you are here too.

Watching foxtel at the moment. The Big Bang Theory. Makes me laugh!

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

@Oaktree Pleased that you have been welcomed home.

@Snowieyes,that is the reason that I mentioned the phone, because I felt that I had an unfair advantage since I am using the computer. I am pleased that I have progressed in typing speed. I have been working at touch typing for some time, and recently it just seemed to click. However my spelling and word placement needs work.

I have a kelpie/Labrador and she is a lovely companion, though many people seemed to be worried that her exuberance might get me into difficulties.

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

@HenryX I am always amused when I go and see my Doctor. She uses one finger to type. I figure after all her years at school that she would have learnt how to touch type with two hands!!

Hmmmm strange things seem to amuse me!!!

Your speeling and word placement seems fine to me.
