Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

So this morning has been eventful already. I have a teething little man so he is not too happy and while cooking some porridge I turn around to my cat standing on the bin 🤣

Eth, I was planning to join the conversation last night in Friday feast, had it opened then fell asleep. 😲

Love that song @Former-Member ... it is one that kinda gets into your head in repeat mode. 😀

I dont really have a favourite place in the world @eth ... I guess I have lots, but cant really narrow it down to one. Loved Africa and Zimbabwe. Phillippines is a very beautiful country once you get out of the cities. Tahiti is nice. I love my own backyard too ... its quiet, serene, private, safe.

Generally I like places off the beaten track, quieter, calmer. I love water ... remote beaches, waterfalls, rivers and babbling brooks. I love nature and animals. I love to listen and watch birds and animals in their natural habitat.

Yes @eth I went last year during cherry blossom season for a belated honeymoon. It is such a beautiful place and with the history added on to it you feel somewhat connected while looking at monuments and visiting the museum. We also went to Nagasaki where the other bomb went off and it was like stepping back in time.

Lots of beautiful places on your list @Former-Member . Sounds like you've traveled quite a bit. I love places of peace with water features too, as was probably evident in my pictures. How lovely that you feel so good in your own back yard too. I feel lucky to be here also - my cabin is under a massive old avocado tree and adjacent to the vegie garden where we have 8 large raised garden beds producing prolifically at the moment.

Sounds like an excellent honey moon @Blep . My adult child and their husband went to Japan to Kyoto I think for the snow/ice festival - the pictures were amazing.
