Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

L E T ' S P A R T Y !!!

EDIT : Do feel free to contribute some music too. Of any style. The more the merrier ...

I had not seen the scupture before Found it on this net search.

She did wonderful series in early life called "the weavers" which was about the Industrial Revolution. She was a doctors wife and saw a lot of sickness as in those days people visited doctors at home. My current gp is very glad I introduced her to the work of KK. I have copies of her lithographs in my teaching studio.

About 10 years ago I went to an art gallery in Brunswick of an exhibition of her work, suggested by a german acquaintance and Aussie friend.

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

was that Brunswick in Germany or Melbourne I guess . Probably got too much well nothing okay worry on my plate atm, juggling a few things, balls in air, feel nauseous , just had phone appointment, then call about work, now waiting for another work related call, so can ..make another call .. to try and sneak an appointment in before start work. Too edgy to do much else inbetween. Yes there has been a lot of suffering in the World, but there just are way too many people these days @Appleblossom

Last month I met lady who knew I had lived in the Amsterdam squats when it was a thing. That was kinda cool. She wanted to leave Australia to join the movement. I just stumbled across it. For once in the right place at the right time ...

For anyone who doesn't know already - this is a social thread and a place to hang out on a Saturday. It's also ok to share whatever you want to, including what's going on for you, food, drink, music ... whatever you like. Hoping you'll make connections and find support if you'd like some.
