Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Well hello to anyone who's discovered this new thread .... and welcome!!!

For some time I've noticed things are a bit quiet on a Saturday, especially in the evening. So this will be a social gathering for all forumites and hopefully a place to relax and meet friends. It's also a place where you can talk about whatever's going on for you at the moment, safely, and find support.

If you want to bring something to eat or drink that would be welcome, whatever makes you happy.

Actually that may be a good place to start - jump in anywhere and let us know one thing that makes you happy - currently or over time.

Really looking forward to finding a posse to hang with on a Saturday.

L E T ' S P A R T Y !!!

And of course the beverage of your choice.

EDIT : Do feel free to contribute some music too. Of any style. The more the merrier ...

Welcome!!!

@saturnzoon

I hear u there with bpd. I look soooo normal but i really struggle being around people.

Its making it hard for me to promote this class.

I dont have confidence in selling myself to strangers.

Makes me feel like an idiot

Im just fascinated that they still say theres no medication for it.

I cant cope without the meds at all.

I cant see myself getting off meds ever again.

Im not really sure how i got better at coping with this. Possibly having more insight to it has helped. Well more insight to whats going on inside my head is more accurate. Cause everyone is a bit different.

I have met 2 others with this & they struggle leaving their hse alone.

So it must of been what caused me to withdraw from society.

All the trust issues.

Im in this new town & dont trust having anyone friend me on fb hey.

Its too sm a town for me.

Im managing to go to aqua classes thats helping me a lot. Its a fun group.

I get to have a laugh there & i talk but im dying to get back home to my security after it i notice.

Its going to take me ages to ever trust having friends i think.

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

Hi @Shaz51 Have come to the conclusion that I definitely staarted to trust B when I should not have. They were meant to let me know this morning if she would see me Monday but nothing. And neither she nor the manager bothered to ring me when the office promised. So it is another month before I get an appointment. Will be telling her that I am really not impressed at all with being let down and rejected by them like I have everyone else. So afteer 3 appts have a break of 2 1/2 months with nothing. Still having nightmares after what I started with last appt with no help. Have tried some of the places from online but they are no help. They just tell me to wait until I get to see her or go elsewhere whick is not an option due to distance and cost. Can feel myself starting to go down again after this latest letdown.

The headaches, not sleeping, and crying have started again. That is how I started before I managed to get to seee her first. I aam afraid that I may get to that staage again. I will have to start trying to trust her or whoever I see again, and that is just so hard for me. I know I need the counselling, but I really am not sure about it if I am just going to keep getting let down like this. I have heard that someone else may be coming instead of her in a few months which stressed me out, but I have not had the chance to ask her since it was just after I saw her last. The office would not tell me. So don't know if I should even try to trust her again or wait and try to trust the new one. Any suggestions?

Hi @Maxi7 and welcome!

Beautiful flowers @Shaz51 -stunning!

Hi and welcome to you too @octavia . Sometimes it takes quite a while for pictures to be moderated and then uploaded. Patience is key when using the forums sometimes.

Good to see you all here @Meowmy @Former-Member @TAB @cutiepiekitty @saturnzoon @Bunniekins

Here for you however I can be @cutiepiekitty I've been where you're at in terms of gaps and possible changes of therapist. It's a hard place and I feel for you. Have you thought about using help lines or online chat (SANE has it) in the meanwhile?

Re: Saturday Soiree - all welcome!!

@eth none of the couple of helplines I have tried have been any good. All I have had is them tell me to either wait or go to someone else which is not really an option as it would mean having to keep going to the city or paying a lot of money. I suppose I should be used to being cut off having had it all my life, but I had thought that a counsellor from a reputable organisation would be different
