Learning to live (and be myself) again

Learning to live (and be myself) again

I've been through some major highs and lows since i recieved my diagnosis. And by highs and lows i mean stages of good and bad health. Stages of working and unemployment. Bouts of depression and anxiety on a daily basis....I've had all sorts of stuff going on basically.

I know there's dozens of people whom i could tag. Whom would all be supporting and care . But i forget most of their profile names and don't wanna be a bother to them . + when I'm tagging there's a few glitches.

Woke up feeling good this morning . Had a full 7 or 8 hours sleep and only woke once . Switched off around sunset and did some meditation, mindfulness and self talk stuff . Was alone with my thoughts and symptoms . Turned off all the screens. These times vary in theme, nature and intensity . But i do think it helps . Always something different going on in my mind . But always same scenario .

Today I'm going to be focused on acting on my impulses and urges to achieve the small goals . Instead of putting them off. And managing my time wisely . Using my initiative . And getting my stuff in order. Along with doing some living in the moment stuff .

Nice one Eude
@eudemonism

I hope it helps. You sound quite positive this morning.
Take baby steps and don't pressure yourself. This mindset sounds good.

Logical and considered not at all looney tunes ....

Was at the zoo today and someone cracked the "who's who at the zoo" joke ... had to happen sometime ... eye roll.

Take Care mate

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

Hello @Sophia1

I'm putting some thought into what is normal and what is not . It's like that question you asked me . What is right for yourself ? It's especially relevant when people are medicated . Because being medicated kind of takes away any possibility of true normality .

And anyone else who cares to read or reply....

I remember the doctor saying to me about the mental health services. 'They'll never let you go ' and it turned out to be true . They never let me go.

Originally it was a couple of scripts that the doctor give me . And i didn't take the medicine as prescribed . Didn't take it seriously. Was probably in denial about being depressed.

In hindsight i wish I'd taken the original scripts of medicine as prescribed and looked for work or went back to get an education . But I really couldn't see away forward that would of kept everyone happy . And fitted into the guidelines.

Any way got lured and roped back into time and time again until the diagnosis become serious and the meds became heavy. And until i was totally absorbed by the mhs. Who knows where I'd be without it anyway...
