Learning to live (and be myself) again

Learning to live (and be myself) again

I've been through some major highs and lows since i recieved my diagnosis. And by highs and lows i mean stages of good and bad health. Stages of working and unemployment. Bouts of depression and anxiety on a daily basis....I've had all sorts of stuff going on basically.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Maggie I'm dealing with a cold and stomach bug at present. So it's rather difficult to get on with anything. It feels like I'm dying . Getting on with life is hard enough at the best of times. I'm just trying to rest and doing the bare minimum . Like i was saying getting on with my life is hard enough at the best of times. Don't really have much of a life to be honest.

Hello @eudemonism

Found you over here and you are not feeling well at all..

You had a virus I recall and now a stomach problem that is a lot to deal with...

I think that I read that you had your monthly injection around about this time..

if that is the case that would be impounding the feelings of your virus..

are there doctors who can visit where you live if you are not well enough to get out?

You might need to be checked on if symptoms persist..

sometimes we overlook important physical symptoms because we are so used to thinking oh well that is the mind stuff crap..

call someone and let them know...even if you check in with sane..

remember how important you are to all of us...

💜💚💛

ps you probably think that the hearts are a pain in the ################

still sending them anyway

❤

@Sophia1

Basically slept all through the night but wake up feeling totally stuffed because of meds which basically persists throughout the day.

My cold and stomach bug problem seems to have eased in severity abit . Have rang someone and told them but as usual it's a pip

@eudemonism

Sorry to hear that you rang someone and did not get the support that you needed..

Viruses can hang around sometimes and definitely do zap our energy as our bodies work overtime to fight the virus.

I am on a different sleeping tablet at the moment as the chemist had run out of my usual one.

I feel as though I am half asleep and half awake....floating in and out of sleep.

I feel like a zombie the next day...an awful feeling..

How you describe you feel is energy depleting and I can understand why you become less motivated ,,,fed up..

Achieving just having a shower...forget the other stuff initially ...

Hoping that you have a chair outside where you can sit and observe your trees...talk to your animals..

take care Eude 💚

@Sophia1

Thanks for your kindness and support. I hope you are still able to tend to your self care needs and your responsibilities amongst all that you're dealing with . Because i know for me it's a big part of feeling well and stable. For me it comes and goes in patterns .

I've noticed that different medications make all the difference toward initiative and motivation to achieve goals . Yet at the same time .i remain the same person with the same personality . And same direction.

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

@Sophia1 life and living is a case of constant changes and adapting . Because literally no two days are the same. There's definitely new challenges arising with every new day . I like feeling like I'm winning and like I've got momentum toward achieving self care goals. But it's definitely not always like that. Sometimes it's the opposite . Secretly I'd love my entire life 'to be different ' but that's basically being delirious. Eude

@eudemonism hey, hope you are feeling a bit better now. Have been reading in bed. The reading light bright and calm makes me feel a bit better. The most difficult part of my life so far is my father. Very hard to deal with. Anyhow hope you enjoy the evening and have a good week coming .

Re: Learning to live (and be myself) again

hello Eude

When I read your post I felt that I was reading words written about life in general...real life...not television..media life..

@eudemonism my depression has been horrid again...today I found myself thinking how can this be when so many things have started to come together?...stuff within my family and friend circle that I have been so anxious about...

You wont believe this but I actually answered my question with "life".

I often talk to myself..

None of what I have said above changes the intensity of emotions or lack of from symptoms of unwell minds...

It can give us time out from ourselves though..

This helps me...if I tell myself "for heaven sakes give myself a rest"..works sometimes..

Life
