it's good to hear from you @MDT
what's woollen support?
I tried to run a meetup too, it was a nightmare! but good on you for trying.
That's hard to have to change your cv for every application, for me they mainly look at my response to key selection criteria & don't seem to look at my cv much (it shows a gap of 7 years unemployment & I've still gotten interviews so I doubt they even glance at it!). In my experience, a good guide for cv's is to follow the example of someone who has the job/career you want. I respect my sister's advice for cv's 'cos she's very successful in her career - I keep it brief & follow her advice and that seems to be working. A friend asked for my advice and he rejected all my suggestions (he had a very longwinded-wafly cv which was too long to expect anyone to read, in my humble opinion) and he hasn't gotten any interviews.
I write about one job applicaiton a week. So I think your 2/day is admirable. Is that manageable, are you being fair on yourself, or putting too much pressure on yourself?
Is there any cool volunteer work you can look into in your area of interest (govt. politics. IR?) If you like a particular politician or political party could you join & do some volunteer hours with them?

I have figured out that most of the things I try to do are useless because someone else is always better at them or more qualified. Why does everyone have to tell me that I can do better? Or at least, why do I have to keep telling this to myself? It's not helping because if it did help then I wouldn't be going around in circles all the bloody time now would i?
.'Maybe you should try to stop comparing yourself with others, we are all unique. Everyone has things they are good and bad at.

I've lost interest in taking care of myself. I seem to go well for a bit then I just tank. I'm really exhausted today and I don't know why. I've barely been up for 2 hours. My medications might be doing this, my GP said to look at reducing them but I can't do that yet because I'm too afraid I won't sleep well enough.
As someone who has major physical health issues which make me very exhausted and fatigued, I know its far harder mentally/emotionally to deal with any mental health issues when a person is exhausted so I have to agree what your doctor told you and it would be a good idea to "try" to follow his advice in case it is the medication making you feel like that. It's is hard to change things when one is exhausted so I understand that taking his advice is quite difficult for you.
There is over the counter sleep aid one can buy here in Australia at the chemist which is non prescription and usually work very strongly (they actually use this in our prison system for new arrivals in the first few days to help them sleep). It's main ingredient is Doxylamine succinate, studies have shown it has quite strong tranquilizing affects .
If you do try though some will tell you its completely safe, I strongly suggest to not use it all the time as some adapt to it and it then will stop using. (I used for years but only a couple of days a week as I would cycle it through out with the with other sleeping pills). You could ask your chemist about it seeing your doctor wants you off of your current sleeping pills due to being worried they could be causing your current exhaustion.
Your doctors advice was good advice and you wont know if it is your current pills causing the issue unless you take that advice and see. best luck to you.

it's funny you should mention cooking meals for hungry people @MDT that's what I do for my volunteer position. I make lunch. the staff are amazing, really supportive, positive and energetic, they're inspiring and very good for me to be around. I'm very sensitive to the energy of people I'm around so the nice staff make it good time for me.
I do it at my local community house - I live in a big city so that's pretty easy for me. It's secular so that's good for me too, no religion attached to it. how I found it was I went to a local walking group, I loved the lady who ran that & I wanted to volunteer for her & it went from there. I started walking when I was quite mentally unwell for about a year, was in and out of the group, then being on effective meds I knew I wanted to volunteer.
anyways, like you say maybe something to do down the track.
