Deep emotional pains

Deep emotional pains

Hi @outlander @CheerBear and everyone. I experience deep emotional pains in relation to my childhood under the thumb of my father and his demanding control of my young adult life, that I missed significant opportunities to life happinesses.

In the past, the intense pains sent me so emotional and distressed that I stopped my medication and became very sick over and over again.I had fifteen admissions in ten years.

Now I realize I have to deal with that in order to live without admissions.

I hope to find support, compassions from everyone and we can help each other in dealing with our deep issues.

@eudemonism @Thanks for post. MI definitely hard to deal with. We are sensitized to a cruel world. The world is harsh. We need to survive. Support is essential. With medication side effects, may be think of more natural treatments , not to replace them, but treat the side effects. Treatments like acupressure, hydrotherapy etc.

@Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @MDT @eudemonism @eth Seen psy for the first time in life. He was very nice, very good. I feel the support face to face. My home just Mum and I, she is very elderly and has early dementia. I can’t imagine life without her, but she is gradually leaving me.

Everyone has difficulties , MI makes them worse. But may be somehow, we learn so much from all the heart aches, struggles ,something beyond us, something so beautiful that this harsh world can’t offer otherwise. The support ,understanding we have in common; the love and memories of some family and friends in adversity; the achievements out of despairs, anger, grief, sadness, to have something’s done, some goals accomplished; the forgiveness of our offenders that came after being through deep emotional pains, because our deep pains we lived make our offenders so small that they are not worth our mention. The love within us, for the good, the true, the beautiful, the everlasting, grows with our sufferings.

May be it’s not all bad. Some thing there for our hearts.

@Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @MDT @eudemonism @eth @Former-Member hello everyone. @CheerBear @Appleblossom Since seeing the psychologist, not easy coming to this point. No longer cheating myself. Accepting that my mum had an equal part with my father in totally controlling me at my Uni graduation year, removed me from my financee at the time and made me had a massive first psychosis.

It is a bit sad, losing both parents. Funny I held onto mum so much even though she was over bearing and arrogant in her dealings with me. @Bunniekins Now she is ill with early dementia. Out of duty, I look out for her.

Imagine my life ruined by selfish parents, just want to totally hold on to me, not let me marry.

Made me single and sick, suffer for prolonged periods of time.

I hope to feel more and more confident in myself and need less and less bond with mum.

And eventually reconcile with my past and live my own life well.

Thank you all for care and support.

Hugs @Meowmy ..... that’s why we are here ❣️

So so glad to hear that you are (slowly) recognising and coming to terms with what happened, and finding your way forward. Take courage. Look for moments of joy along your way. It helps to feed your soul.

Re: Deep emotional pains

@Meowmy Our @Faith-and-Hope has summed it up so elegantly

Looking forward rather than in the past can help us to move in that direction but we also need some kind of closure on the past - and if that is recognising the impact it has had on us then that is a good place to start. We can only do what we can with what we know and try our best to find new ways to get through and make some kind of life for ourselves. Hope is such a simple word with so much meaning @Meowmy

Re: Deep emotional pains

@Meowmy I have 3 children 2 of whom live with me. Son2 has many problems including autism and schizophrenia my daughter has asbergers and chronic depression. She is the one who I worry about the most. She is extremely attached to me and although exceedingly intelligent she has huge deficits in communicating with people like making friends etc. It worries the hell out of me but with the help of her psychiatrist and her mental health nurse we are making baby steps into her getting more independence. My wish for her is to go to university but that is far away as she just is not interested. All she wants to do is be with me and her friends on the internet and play games. It is a worry, a big worry.

Re: Deep emotional pains

For me @Matt12 it has been the opposite with my pdoc - we have worked on moving forward without having to go back as going back is too hard. I see the benefit in going over past hurt to be able to work through it but also the benefit in living for the here and now and looking forward. That does not mean that there are not times when the past intrudes into the present but I am learning skills to be able to deal with those memories/flashbacks/hurt and out it into persepctive as to where I am now. We are shaped by our past but our past does not define us.
