Looks to me like there is a need for this thread, to help bring together parents who know the pain of having adult kids who are struggling with mi conditions.
I will tag a few of our regulars to get some discussion going, but please feel free to tag others in, and add resources as you find them.

Hello @spr14
Your child has so much grief now, but things can turn around for her. Maybe if she can find online groups it will help take the edge off it.
I, and a daughter have struggled with gender identity. She became so nitpicky, no matter how accepting I was, that she went off at me for not knowing all the differences between the state laws.
Quite a few people have posted about their own experiences being transgender on the forum. We have a regular who has raised a trans child and has a grandchild. You are not alone even in this brave new shifting world.

Hi @spr14 your post moved me so I wanted to let you know you are not alone. I have a transgender nonbinary adult child who came out about 7 years ago. And they also have PTSD. If you want to talk with me just tag me - put the @ symbol in front of my name and it should show up in a drop-down menu.
Tagging @Former-Member here too. Can you give @spr14 the Queer Line number please. @spr14 they do telephone counselling for anyone who is going through transition as well as their families and carers. Could be a good support for you to reach out to.
You'll mostly find me on the 'A Long Rave' thread in the Lived Experience forum if you want to have a conversation with me.

Re: Parents Supporting Unwell Adult Children
Okay thanks, @Shaz51, I've been cooking Gluten free treats for my youngest (the fussy Aspy son was diagnosed with Coeliacs Disease 6 months ago), so as cooking cheers me up, I've done a lot this weekend, after the grandson and I finished our fun outings yesterday. 😊 I hope you are having a nice weekend, with a little you time, and relaxation along the way ☕

Ooooooh ..... having baby-dragon-fire moments with my youngest at the moment ..... she’s stressed and takin’ in out on her mumma..... big time ..... then apologising, before doing it again.
Feeling pretty short on stuffing at the moment, but she is achieving in her studies so I hope she will settle again shortly.

Hi again @TuiGlen👋
This is the Carer side of SANE forums. I have tagged you to a thread where I and other parents are carers for our children who have mental health challenges in a variety of different ways. It’s clear from your post on the Lived Experience indtroduction page that your daughter is really struggling with mental health issues in response to her partner’s illness, with addiction in the mix.
Here you are amongst others who hear your heart and understand through experience something of
