Had a very big day, went to see my uncle who has been sent home to the end -- nothing they can do but make him comfortable

I know mum is very upset but she really showed her colours to the family what a terrible carer I am

I know the others do not believe her and to top it off my aunty said to mum " Ohh well go and stay in the hospital then "

My cousin is looking both her parents

Then travelled in my aunty's who is 84 car -- don't want to be in the car again nor does mum

You know what's great? No one believes your mum because every one knows how much you do to care for your mum.

@Shaz51 Sorry your mum does not realise the effort you put in, and even complains about it to family. @tyme is probably right it is "her condition". I kept hoping my mother would see my love, but she never did. There was a tendency in that generation to think they owned their girl daughters. You cannot please them all ... and it is not your job anymore. Soon she will need to face the fact of professional care. It is the way these days, as people last longer, and the medical stuff gets more complicated. Remember to keep looking after you.

There's only so much you can hold in before one explodes. @Shaz51 . It is able slowly releasing the valve to prevent explosions - that's why we are here. To hear you out.

If your mum is behaving out of character, do you think it is another infection? It can really upset them and they can act completely out of character if their body is fighting an infection.

Yes you are right and I think mum knows she is heading that way and hospital will be the next step

Its hard to watch. @Shaz51 At least my mother accepted going into her palliative home. Just dont lose faith in yourself with all the people you support.
