Exo's Exposé

Exo's Exposé

Looking for somewhere to hide in the Forum, no offense to anyone, I'm just kinda used to my own space - it feels safer to me. I often feel like I'm 'butting in' on other threads, I want to say something but it isn't 'in-line' with the current flow of conversation.

It rained here yesterday, dogs & cats weren't falling from the sky, but the grounds wet, there's puddles in my driveway & it's soooooooo sooooooo much cooler 😄 Guru Google even promises more!! After this weird wet stuff stopped dropping from above, I took the dogs for their walk, I do this almost every afternoon, but after a storm with close lightning strikes, my main purpose is to check the fence is still upright everywhere. I'm happy to announce it was all in tip-top shape 🙂 I noticed new puddle spots all the way around, I was sad that some trees had to be pushed over for the fence line, but the dip of their absence looks quite beautiful with a drop of moisture shimmering within. When I had completed the usual circuit I by-passed returning into the house-yard & wandered through to the dam. I think I may have been a little rain-drunk, I was hoping to see water in it, there wasn't any. I even went & stood in the very center of it's base, I think I was expecting to sink in mud - I didn't; but the cracks are gone . . . & they were huge. So if the Guru comes through with it's promise, there may yet be a puddle for my Staffy to play in 😉

I've decided to leave my camping trip to the beach for another week, rain wouldn't stop me - it rarely rains 24 hrs a day, but storms have - they often have devastingly strong winds that can break off & pick up reasonably heavy objects, that become dangerous ammunition. I've been emailing with the owners of this place, I'll still be in the off-peak season if I leave it another week - though I worry being so close to the Easter holiday, there's a more likely chance of more people. I keep telling myself I've just got to 'get over' that, that that would be all part of the experience - but I know I'm lying to myself. I picked this spot mainly because of the dog-friendly off-lead beach, but also because on the satelite view of Google maps I could see that there's no towns around it. It's one of the most isolated camping parks I've seen {that's within 5 hours of home, well - maybe just a little more}. It also admits it has old amenities, I saw negitive feedback about the place for those reasons - I think if you want to go to a resort . . . that's where you go - not to a place that describes itself as a rustic, old fashioned bush camping park 😉

Re: Exo's Exposé

Peace & contentment to you @eth & Mazy @Mazarita & everyone 🙂

Today might not be entirely peaceful for me, I'm heading into the city! My Sister wants to
catch up for coffee 🙂 It's about the half-way mark between where we both live. Her husband
is away & she works in education & there's an amount of trouble with some schools shutting
down (one very close to her school), she's been struggling a little. But I'm sure it will be
a good day 🙂

I use a digital camera Eth & computer software to enhance the images, it used to be a bit
of an obsession of mine - it felt good to 'play' with photos again 😉 I don't use a phone much,
I'm one of those old-fashioned people that a phone is a phone, a camera is a camera etc 😉

To combine breathing techniques & massage would be brilliant! Both of those things, the
goal is to relax . . . wish I could get a massage from you Eth! 🙂 Especially because I don't
think the marks on my skin would bother you much at all, you'd understand . . . you'd even
know I don't even remember - I'm just me, not afraid of any particular person or circumstance,
fear is just a part of who I am.

You've accomplished a lot Eth, the whole time I've 'known' you, you always have. I wish
I could read your writings. I'm glad your support work is starting up again & good on you
for tackling a bike! I can't breath well enough to ride any more, I used to - a mountain bike,
struggling up & then free flying down 🙂

You can write as long or short, response, rave or blurb, here as you want to eth - anyone
can 🙂 I'm not always up to responding but I will always read them & support them - they
will always be heard ❤️ Thank you for always remembering me, despite the fact that I
often 'go quite' for fairly long periods these days.

Love to you both & all that need or want it ❤️

Hey @Exoplanet I love your long posts as much as you just checking in - so either/or are okay. Sometimes just a quick post to stay connected is all we can do - and that is enough - it is always good to see you here

Re: Exo's Exposé

I'm off to the city today, getting 'signed off' for my post-op physio. Personally I think having to go into a public hospital for such an unnecessary thing is silly, if I had any problems I would have been to a doctor - there's been new cases in the city - I'm safer in the bush! But I like the idea of being finished with the aftermath of it all (for now at least). While I'm in there I'll hit Bunnings, I got a small truck load of used tyres, I didn't expect to get so many, thought maybe I could get a ute load for cheap - but I ended up with just over 100 . . all for free 'cause they have to pay to dispose of them. I'm thinking of making stacked tyre plant pots along the fence line {of my house yard} & now I'm thinking the extra's I'll turn into pavers; I'm filling the rubber walls with rags & then I'll pack the middles with dirt & I'm going to have a go at mixing some concrete to put on top & then finish with pebbles embedded in the concrete. I bought a big roll of builders plastic that I've put underneath & think I'll fill the gaps between the tyres in the same way, then I won't have to mow in that area. If I ever finish this lot, I can get another load & cover the front area of my house yard, then the difficult area's to manuvre the mower won't ever have to be mowed. I also want to pop into a solar place & organize the cabling & connections to re-do the 'back door' system, if I can get that together I can use the cabling from it to put together a solar chager for the battery I used on my water pump, as I've already ordered a solar controller to do that with.

Love to all that need or want it
