Another BlueBoard Refugee

Another BlueBoard Refugee

Hi I'm Ginger, The Whinger Part is tacked on more in honour of my Ginger cat who likes to meow a lot who's identity I have assumed for the internet 🙂

He's currently whinging to empty walls as I am in psyche. I've been in here for a week and am due to start ECT for the first time tomorrow. The ECT doc will be coming to my room within the next half hour. I hope everything gets said that needs to get said. I'm scared about the seizure activity because my body is so good at doing seizures when its not meant. I'm sure it will pass tomorrow with flying colours.

The reason I'm having ECT is for decades of treatment resistant depression.

I'll keep this short and sweet and see if I get any nibbles, I mean responses. Cheers.

Hello my sweet @Former-Member

I am doing much better. Yesterday I had a peaceful day cross stitching - enjoyed the serenity and when my husband came home enjoyed his company. Today was alright but daughter being moody can take my peace and get me down. As I also worry about her and how she is being manipulated.

My daughter managed to get another job - but she has trouble keeping them. If she has learned through past mistakes she will benefit, if not the saga will continue. Unfortunately I think the latter will be the case and it gets a bit depressing.

But I had a lovely evening out with hubby for our 22nd anniversary. Our love is real and that's the one true light in my light that I am grateful for. I made a wise choice 22 years ago.

How are you now my dear friend? ❤️

Hello my beautiful friend @Former-Member

It is so good to hear from you and to hear you are doing much better. I would be worried about her too, and I hope she is able to make better choices in the future. I think your daughter is so lucky to have such amazing parents and that you are so engaged in her treatment and trying to guide her to a happier and healthier life. It surely must be tough to see he make the same mistakes over and over again.

I am glad to hear you had a lovely night with your husband on your 22nd Anniversary. I wish you many more years of happiness and love with your husband.

I am doing really good, I've had some low days but I am slowly putting them behind me. I did have another blood test and it was flagged because of the thyroid and I will have to repeat the test in 6 weeks time. I am doing some volunteer work and I start my course on the 2nd Nov at the local wildlife park. Plus I am doing some volunteering for some special events.

What design cross stitching are you doing- I am glad you get so much enjoyment out of this. I am spending more time away from the home, and I think that is really good for me. I hope you are having a nice nite

Hi @Former-Member,

I don't know how to write about what has happened in the past month so I won't.

I'll start with today. I met a friend at a coffee shop and the smoothie had such a fatigueing affect on me I had to leave right away. I almost felt unsafe to drive home. I texted her when I got home and fell into a deep sleep for 3 hours and rang her when I woke up to explain better what seems to have happened because it would have been really weird for her to be left there to eat her salad and drink her cappacino alone!

It's the first engagement I haven't cancelled since Thursday. I've been sleeping through but today I though I was up to it until that extreme fatigue hit all of a sudden. I've got nothing on until tomorrow night and my treatment team are encouraging my body to get all the rest it can after the past 6 weeks.

I'm really self-absorbed atm. Fairly unplugged from the world. I'll re-engage soon enough though given the strong extravert I am.
