This one isn't quite so interesting but does stick in mund because I was REALLY naughty @Mazarita @Former-Member
I used to play softball until I badly injured my neck. We were away on a representative trip and I wasn't playing this particular game - it was a side we were expected to beat quite easily. So I decided to get through the afternoon I'd put a little scotch in my dry ginger ale bottle - well I ended up drinking the whole damn bottle and was then totally bored - and a little 'tipsy'. I begged to be out on to bat and the coach gave in and let me. I approached the batter's box, turned to the girl I was sitting previously on the bench with and pointed (subtely just to her) where I wanted to hit the ball. By this stage I was seeong at least 3 balls at once - so I decided to hit the middle one - BOOM - home run - but I could barely stagger my way around the bases.....

As much as I'd love be to stay I've made a hot chocolate and taken some sleeping meds so might have to crash. I hope to read lots of stories in the morning. Love to all 💜🤗😊😘

Well, with that home run scored, I think I'm knocking off bar duty for the night. I declare OPEN BAR (help yourself). I'll just grab myself a cointreau on ice while I wander over to the sofa to relax.

I have another softball story - this one I'm actually really proud of 
We were playing another state (I won't mention which one but F&H lives there) - the ball was hit way over my head and over the fence. The unpire said it bounce so it wasn't a home run - I disputed their decision and said it did go over and I was closest to see. The home run was awarded to that team. My coach went off her nut' at me - I basically told her she was a bad sport and walked away. That night - at the final dinner - every single player on that team (and a few others that had heard about it) bought me drinks - I was smashed.
