The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

Hello @Shaz51

I brought some biscuits to have with our cuppa.

They are salted caramel shortbread ... would you like one? They're good.

Plenty here for everyone else as well. I will leave them on the bench here for you all to help yourselves.

I see that you are in Perth - very hot there. My husbands family are all over in The West. I am in NSW, the mid north coast, and its pleasant here, mid 20s. SE QLD have had heaps of rain, but nothing here.

I read that there is a health issue for your hubby. But I couldnt find what it was. Is he okay?

Re: The Beer Garden

@Shaz51 I'm sorry. I think I shouldnt have come out this afternoon. Seems I'm all over the place! Cant get anything right. Someone was in Perth, but not you. Although FN QLD is pretty hot too I see.

I am sorry about your CKD. My husband has CKD as well, but not as bad as you. He had a kidney removed about 5 years ago due to cancer, but the extra pressure on the remaining kidney caused a few problems. I expect you are on a special diet? Hubby is meant to be, but he is pretty relaxed about it these days, as his kidney function appears to have stabilised a bit the past year. He still needs to be very careful though. Would you be on a kidney donor list at Stage 4? I imagine you wouldnt be on dialysis yet though.

I hope you and hubby get to go out tonight. Its obviously going to take an effort, but probably worth it.

I must go. Thanks for your company for the cuppa. Catch you another time. xx

it is good that your husband`s kidney has stabilised a bit

How did doctor's visit go @Former-Member? Did you enjoy you day on your own? I looked up Stevia, sounds healthy enough, might try some. Another sweet alternative is Maple Syrup. I think it might be cheapest in Aldi. It's 100 percent Maple Syrup as well. Some of them aren't 100 percent and not as nice. xo

I guess you made it to your destination @TAB Do you start work tomorrow? Long drive for you today.

Did hubby end up wanting to go out tonight @Shaz51? xo

I will try and think of something nice to do at Christmas, @Faith-and-Hope. As I have mentioned before, we don't spend it with family. I do tend to try and forget about my dad passing away, because it was such a terrible Christmas. He really suffered for a very long time, before passing. Not nice to remember all that. Not sure how to cope with it, to be honest. For a year after him passing we had alot of stressful incidents with the nursing home that he was staying at. Took at least a year to sort it all out. A time I wish to forget. But I am determined to find something nice and different to do, so as it won't be too depressing. Your mum sounds like she was a very lovely lady. I bet you miss her very much. Sending you a big hug Faith and Hope. xoxo Safe travels to you.

Hi @Former-Member. xoxo I missed having a coffee with you. Having an Earl Grey Tea at the moment, time to relax and watch TV. Not much on though. Are you feeling a bit better today/tonight?

Hi to anyone else around.

No storm here after all. Cloudy, humid day. Not too hot, thank goodness.

Re: The Beer Garden

Thank u for asking @Former-Member..
I had a short lived time and presently am feeling annoyed a little.
The doctor was a really nice man.
He put me at ease, so it was comforting given a lot going on.
I'm waiting for my other two to come home with a friend and partner (they went to pub).
I can't have all the fun, with a little boy to care for, time is short lived.
Plus I know S2 will be exhausted when they finally get home.
I've sacrificed so much to live here.
Sometimes it really gets to me and I feel such loss of self I guess.
Have you had a nice day?
I'm guessing it's a low kind of time of year for you, sort of one of those inescapable facts of life?
I'm thinking of you. It's hard to watch someone die.
I did the same with dad too.
Your dad sounded strong...it's a nice memory to have.
Well I might watch a little t.v, then hopefully rest, sleep.
My partner tends to hog bed when drunk.
I really just want to sleep to physically get better.
Sigh.
No matter. If he annoys me, I might resort to couch!
