The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

What'da shame...but no one wants to take on a pub that involves $$ and paperwork to fix..huge outlay.
Gotta be a gatzby I. the first place for such ventures! @TAB...I do like old pubs though.
Rustic charm 👍

Re: The Beer Garden

it looks well maintained, the mine probably owns it. It was on outskirts of small town on the way home, there is a working mine right next to it @Former-Member there are others in small towns near here, would be a good tax dodge maybe. Went into wrong door in one couple hours down the road, it was straight out of the 1930s, the place was running, they were just using half the building ..just walked around in big old saloon/lounge like it is was in movie

Re: The Beer Garden

Took me down memory lane when I saw your 'digs' @TAB. Reminded me of some of the shearers quarters I seen /used. Some are even worse. The hessian (usually old sacks) lining the walls is for cooling. A bit like the old water bags on the bumper bars. 🎶💕

Re: The Beer Garden

far out @Kurra ..the first farm we were on had a couple small rooms as shearers quarters, I thought they were flash cos had laminated plywood clad walls lol well was only small mixed farm, we only ever had 2 shearers at a time, though the boss usually had another farm the same size as one we lived on
