The Beer Garden

The Beer Garden

i encourage you all to join me for some casual drinking, social lubrication and light laughter right here in the beer garden.

Oh and before anyone gets up in arms about alcohol and its dangers the main beer on tap is VB or virtual beer

beer is the third most commonly consumed drink in the world behind water and tea

why not share the worlds joy with friends

Re: The Beer Garden

thank you for responding

my specialist mainly listens, he does tell me that I have had a lot of external circumstances out of my control that anyone would find taxing. a part of it has been that in the last 2 months i have had 3 members of my family in emergency depts, my mum twice, my twin sister once i took her and lastly my son at the same time as my mum but 2 different hospitals. i couldnt get my phone back off my son to ring my sister to find out how my mum was. my husband stayed outside he cant deal with any of it. eventually we got to see my mum who later was ok to go home, we were then able to take my mum and sister home. son was still in different hospital and admitted. he has finally had diagnosis, i organised for a 2nd opinion although he is still in denial and not wanting to take medication. he has now been discharged and is living with a friend. his dad, my ex-husband met this friend once but he does not want any involvement with my son's family or care co-ordinator. i have no idea what conditions he is living in, how much he is paying, if he is eating properly or even safe. he is an adult and having managed to avoid correct diagnosis all these years is now very ill as told to me by the psychiatrist and it is up to him whether or not he accepts his illness and help.

so yes i have a switch off inside without knowing how or when i flicked it. my physical side self preserving my mental side i believe.

i do thank you for reading and hearing what i have written. i thank the site also for being here to help so many of us who carry such pain and just keep struggling and fighting. also all of those who are there to help those who are in pain in their lives.. a very difficult task when we ourselves are unable to transfer what is happening inside of us into words that never describe it justly.

so thank you all of you

i have read posts from others on here and cant even begin to imagine what it would be like so i feel not for the first time in my life that i should be handling it all better that i am needed now and have to put my stuff on the back shelf. i just cant do it anymore though. so the switch is off today.

Re: The Beer Garden

My back-story is somewhat similar @Former-Member in that there has been a lot of external circumstance stuff to wade through for a very long time, and illness and injury .... a lot of coping and holding the fabric of the family together. I would have said that mi wasn't high on our radar, but the more I have learned about eating disorfpders and the circumstances that aid in producing them, it's clearly not the case .... something that has been submerged for a very long time broke the surface and changed form ,... I have been blind-sided ....

The forums have been an incredible source of comfort and distraction for me. I feel humbled by the intensity of what others are dealing with, and the back-stories are often heart-wrenching, but I know my story is also intimidating to others as well ... we all come equipped with different strengths, weaknesses and coping abilities .... and together we form the fabric of this online community that helps and supports itself to a large extent ....

Compassion is probably the strongest element here. It has a healing quality. Rest in this compassion and the numb feelings will eventually ease. It's no small thing you are managing with.

Take care ...

Hello there @TAB 🐱
You've had a busy week and survived. 😀

Hello @Former-Member Nice to meet you. 😊

Hi @Faith-and-Hope I had a huge day shopping. Haven't been home long. Bought heaps of birthday presents. 👍💕

Hi @Shaz51 💕 I noticed you said "hi" on the sleeping too much thread. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Early night for you. I hope you feel better tomorrow. 😙

Hi to anyone else who's here.
Just cooking late dinner. Had lunch out. Gosh, we walked around at the shops for hours. 😮
Heard the storm. It was a beauty. Apparently flooded in the car park, thankfully not where we parked.

Re: The Beer Garden

It's good to hear your news @Former-Member .... 😊 That must feel great that you have so much sorted now.

I'm doing something easy for dinner .... been slowly cleaning up across the day and starting to feel confident that my areas of the house will get sorted okay before we leave. Can't speak for the kids, but I'm choosing to be selectively blind to their chaos. They're the ones who are gonna have to come back to it like that .... their problem ....

I hope you have a good night .... 💗💕

Up and down as usual @TAB
I guess you'll have a quiet restful weekend.
Do you get your meals provided where you work? 😊

Good to get things sorted at home Faith-and-Hope. I'm always sorting and giving things away. 😀

I need a cuppa. ☕
