I have a large family ... a lot of variables ... and sometimes there is just too much coming at me at once. There are times when I just flick that switch and operate on auto-pilot .... especially last year when we were encountering emotional abuse from trying to shepherd my hubby towards medical intervention for his eating disorder .... he was "lighting scrub fires" all over our daily life to throw us into chaos and get us off his tail.
I have had to numb out on our relationship to keep Sistine together in the same household. It seems to be a safety device. Is that what your specialist says ? Again, no need to answer if the question is invasive ....
