Hi @Former-Member @utopia @Former-Member @TAB .....
.... also @Former-Member @Decadian @Kurra @Former-Member @BlueBay @pip
apologies to anyone I have missed ....
Back from the eye specialist with WH. His eye issue is a "vitreous detachment".
Found a description that probably says it better than I can:
A vitreous detachment is the separation of the vitreous (or gel) that fills the back of the eye from the retina. Symptoms of a vitreous detachment include flashes and floaters. The biggest concern when a vitreous detachment occurs is the risk of developing a retinal tear that can lead to a retinal detachment.
So I asked the question about weight-lifting and jogging, and the specialist responded with "not a problem" ..... grrr ...... but have to concede to his specialist judgement. He also said this won't be affected by flying ....
Usually he would see the person again six weeks later to monitor whether the vitreous detachment is pressuring the retina towards tearing .... so as we will be away by then he is seeing WH again in two weeks.
When you look at the bigger picture, putting this together with his circulation issues, leg cramps, feeling the cold more than others, torn muscles, etc it's another minor symptom of what is going on, but not enough to call him on it yet .... have to leave that with the GP .... sigh ....
Bad news - we're now living with the heightened risk of a retinal tear or detachment .... and no diagnosis of the ed yet .... and WH will be straight back into the regimen ....
Good news - there is no retinal tear at the moment .... we can still go on this trip .... there is another health issue logged that may be associated with an ed by an ed specialist when we eventually see one .... WH will be eating lunch and dinner again now that he can resume his gym workouts .... he's had another shot across his bow ....
A girlfriend helped me to work out this morning that we are actually up to year 7 with this thing .... and that's the average point where the next stage of change starts to happen ... so there is another source of hope to hold onto ....
