Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

Living and loving someone with MI presents relationship challenges and often others cannot see why we chose to stay with our partners.

Being mindful of not intruding on others stories I thought having a thread where we can share tips and encourage one another would be of value.

Sending gentle thoughts your way @Shaz51 .

Walking the dog today Mr Darcy talked about some difficult emotions. He has difficulty expressing himself and was able to finally articulate some hurts that he had in relation to one of his brothers.

Don't know what the answer is to the issue in question but thanked Mr Darcy for letting me know his feelings.

mr shaz does that too sometimes

sometimes our twins don`t want an answer BUT to know that we are there for them is what they need xoxo

It has been difficult @Shaz51 there are hurts there, but I did feel the things he said and the way he spoke to this brother was unkind and unnecessary.

Yes, our response is important @Shaz51 . Childhood traumas are implicated in the aetiology of MI and the problem in relation to this brother relates to this.
