Ditching the Ciggers

Ditching the Ciggers

Hi Everyone , am quitting smoking after doing it for 16 years the last time. A good day was a packet, a bad day on the drink, well double that. I have some old patches and lozenges. What could go wrong? ok to my advantage Im off work so can hide myself away physically to get thru first bit.

ok its day 2.

way to go @TAB. I’ve been following along a bit. It’s awesome you are doing this! Keep going you’ve got this. It’s been about 14 ish years since I gave up. I thought it was longer but much of it for me was my kids nagging me about it. You’ll get there, one day at a time. 💜🤗

Well done @TAB How did you go today?

I've been slack today but the vape is on the charger now so there's no excuse not to use it instead.

Re: Ditching the Ciggers

That's fantastic @TAB Hopefully your cravings have reduced by now.

I wrote this down ages ago and just refound it - can't remember where it came from :

Deep breathing

Delay

Drink water

Do something

Rejoice!

Re: Ditching the Ciggers

well except for the last one sounds like from quitline my cravings are momentary so they just go by themselves and not really a craving, just a brief thought. @eth i just tell myself I dont smoke and remind myself why. But good point if things get more serious. am using patches, shocked how much they cost now, price has nearly doubled since 5 years ago, was too lazy to go to drs to get on pbs, but will have to. so even on strongest ones think am prob on 1/5th nicotine was when smoking lol so its still withdrawal
