Something’s not right

too much going on this week!

too much going on this week!

I am panicking about this week, i feel really physically week and shaky today, but i think its just that i'm letting myself get overwhelmed and I'm trying to break things down into manageable pieces. I have parent/tch interviews for three nights, a telemed appt with my psychiatrist to review my back to work stuff and meds, and then a trip to the capital city which will be a 14 hour round trip there and back (have to get home for the kids that night so have to do it in one day) for a family court ordered psychiatric review and I'm so scared about that. I'm terrified of what somone might say after meeting me for 1 hour and reviewing lots of writing/reports, court trial, and affadavits from my ex that are full of lies. the psychiatric review doesnt even include any documents from my current psychiatrist because that could bias his opinion.

I'm not sure how to get through everything and it feels like it never ends. just goes on and on. I'm terrified of this report saying i have '....' something or other and what that might mean for family court considering if i am a 'good' mother, (my children are well looked after!!) and b what it'll mean for my job if iget an official diagnosis of some other thing. at the moment i am dx as major depression and ptsd.

im so confused. im shattered and so low. im exhausted. the assessment with the court ordered psychiatrist was so hard and he did give me different diagnosis but im not sure exactly what. some dissociative thing and said i dont have the rigth emotions or something but by the end of the assessment my head was just churning and i cant remember exactly what he said and im just so confused and scared.

Oh @Former-Member , it sounds stressful. At the end of the day you work hard for your kids and I'm sure that the psych will get that.

Re: too much going on this week!

the assessment was for court and im so scared that my ex will end up looking more 'stable' than i do, even though he has been convicted... they have consistently said that men who abuse their wives done always do so to their children. and now that im not there for them to see him doing it to me there's 'no' danger to the children. ive let them down and nothing is going to help

I wish I knew the right things to say @Former-Member

I suppose that it would be good to have some faith that MI doesn't hold the same stigma as it used to.

@Former-Member,

It sounds like you're feeling very low. Are you safe tonight? Are there people you can turn to for support?

Re: too much going on this week!

I wish you didn't have to apologise for being tired as a parent of young children.

I needed quite a few years to recover pain wise and from my sleep debt, though few people believe that is possible, and have mocked me, but that is something I do know.

I cant say anything about having the "correct" emotions for a situation, I am not sure what tool is used to make that assessment. It would be difficult to make a truly objective assessment about such things .. as there are deep moral, cultural and personal issues involved.

Today I apologised to my son that he had seen me in severe pain when he was younger. Then I left the house for a walk and a cry.

He did fabulously today, and I was very very proud of him.

I am a human being and have needs that have never been taken seriously.
