Christmas Loungeroom

Christmas Loungeroom

For all those who are both celebrating and avoiding Christmas this year the Chistmas Loungeroom is a place for us all to hang out. It is especially for those who will be alone throughout this Christmas period and as a place to come together and enjoy the company of others in what can be a difficult time for many.

Feel free to post your stories, images, grievances, etc. of this period and to leave messages for other members to help each other get through this time of year.

Christmas day can be extra hard for some so this is a place for us all to get together on the day and share it with other members.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Hey everyone and good morning on our last saturday before christmas. My ex has at last shown his true colours and has preferred to spend christmas with his gf instead of his children .... children are very disappointed ... what a rat bag aye. Best for the children to know though. They wont see him for another two weeks. That will be 3 weeks without seeing their father. I am furious.... he has been sucking up to me everyday since he told me I havent been returning his calls or messages. Nothing to say to him at all.

However disappointing my father was he always saw us at christmas.

Sorry to hear your kids and you have been let down like that @Bunniekins There does come a time when they see through a parent who's selfish (many other adjectives come to mind here). Good on you for not responding to him. Hopefully you and your kids will have some lovely times together while ex is not around. His loss really. Take care xx

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

As you have said to others in the past 'there are reasons why they are exes' .. @Bunniekins sounds like you were in a very amicable situation for however long, maybe its time to move on. He has.

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

@TAB s I have moved on ages ago and happily but we are tied together because of children (no matter how old they are). He rang up today (again) asking what I want for christmas etc etc. I just said that the kids need their dad.

@Dadcaringalone Hey Dadcaringalone I cannot find your original thread so decided to use this one to say hi, see how you are going and wish you a merry christmas :). Been an interesting year for me. Son2 is doing well and actualy came out with a complex conversation yesterday which nearly knocked my socks off :o! One just never knows with him. Daughter is doing quite well (could be doing better)but is a work in progress 🙂 like a masterpiece it takes time.

I have big plans for next year. I plan to try and study again. It will be hard with my damaged mind but I am going to give it a go just have no idea on what to study .... can you help me there :)..

What are your plans for Christmas? we are having a small one.Look forward to hearing from you. Your friend peaxx

Re: Christmas Loungeroom

Two main things about study @Bunniekins It has to be something you are actually interested in and well, it would help if it's achievable. Perhaps start a new thread of ask mods if there is one, I just looked, couldn't find one, well a 2 page all very former membery, specific course materially one ..

yes a lot of things start again around februrary but good luck finding anyone at a tafe or uni this time of year guess it might come down to what's available in your area?

just see what you can find online to start off with perhaps. After eventually getting talked into doing uni entrance exam, then cos had no clue except had an offer, put in away for 8 years, six of those thinking I had blown chance to study.

I eventually ended up at uni, maybe i was ready then, certainly didnt seem to be when had original offer, but if had got thru somehow then could have walked into a job afterwards. After eventually graduated it was a different ball game, student numbers had possibly doubled, and people were coming from overseas and using degrees to stay here. Anway .. but it was good and fun and interesting and ..cost me a lot of money .. lol
