tagging people works fine

its when you start a new line to type your message it starts with @ instead of the first letter of the word

does that make sense??

So each new line you just wrote to me then, did an @ symbol come up and you had to delete it?

Has anyone else in this thread noticed this issue? Has this only happened today @BlueBay?

It's happened since the new changes.

No it only happens on the very first line that i begin to type my message after I tag everyone

If it's not a problem for anyone else, it doesn't matter I can easily just delete the @ symbol

It’s been happening for a long time @Former-Member @BlueBay It’s one of the little glitches that’s been around a while. Not sure if it’s more pronounced now. There are a few glitches with it. Often it’s impossible.....ok takes about 5 attempts or more to tag @Faith-and-Hope unless she’s in the drop down box. It often gives you a double @@ or it can’t find her name. It’s something I’m ok to live with....have been for a long time but while it’s been raised I thought I’d share.

@Former-Member, the glitch I have with paragraphs starting with @ even when I'm not tagging... that only happens if I have started to tag someone, then had to delete and start the line with regular text. Then it's impossible to start the line with regular text as it always throws the @ back up at the start of the line. It's an odd glitch I have always had, but I am able to work around it.

The glitch with the system seeming to find it hard to locate a username for someone when I am tagging, I also get frequently. As mentioned, it's okay if they are in the drop down menu of people who have recently posted to a thread. But if I try to tag by typing in a full username, it often struggles to find who I mean. To work around this, I often drop the last letter of the username and it will show up.

These are hard issues to explain or even show in a screen dump, but is similar to what is being described by @BlueBay, @Sophia1 and @Teej.

The other problem I wanted to mention again, @Former-Member, is notifications by email. The delays in receiving them have got a lot worse since the new site was released. I commonly receive email notifications for messages up to 8 hours after they've been posted! Others have been discussing this problem on the forum too so I know it's not just me. Thanks for looking into these issues. Personally I find the notifications problem worse than the tagging problem.
