Something’s not right

I just can't.

I just can't.

I don't see the point in living anymore. I can't.
I've called helplines but tonight it's just not helped.
I've spent way too much time in hospital over the years and nothings ever helped.

I just can't anymore

Re: I just can't.

@Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 I saw my case manager today. I'm going to be staying here til Thursday at this stage.
I have so much to work through and I don't even know where to start

Re: I just can't.

Just pick one thing and make a start @The-red-centaur ..., one ste at a time. How you you untangle a ball of wool ? You have to either find a starting point, or just take a piece of wool and start with that .... you will be able to make your way forward from some sort of starting point, even if you put that one down and start somewhere else as it becomes clearer how you can progress. The journey will start to open out before you once you’re in it. Getting started can be one of the hardest things.

I agree with @Faith-and-Hope here @The-red-centaur - getting started is often the hardest part but when you finally begin things do begin to unravel for you in a positive way. I am glad you saw your case manager today and think it is the safest place for you to be right now despite how you are feeling - it is good to have that support around you

Shit shit shit

I went out for the day and long story short the person who sexually assaulted me two years ago is on premisis. So to explain where I am has medium term accommodation and that person's partner lives here. I get back and they are both sitting in the smoking area which is in full view from most of the recovery centre.

Shit shit shit.
And the staff on today is in a meeting with the boss so I'm trying to calm down with a cuppa and music.

I'm sorry I'm such a drama queen on this thread

Re: I just can't.

That would have felt like a complete shock and really scary @The-red-centaur. Having a cuppa and listening to some music sounds like a good plan for now. If you're concenred about your safety it's important to let the staff know as soon as possible so that they can support you to keep the environment safe. If you're unable to speak with staff right away, you can also reach out to services like Lifeline on 13 11 14. And of course, you can contact 000 in an emergency. Take care of yourself and stay safe 🌻

My Liked are “I am hearing you” @The-red-centaur .....

Youre not being a drama queen, it’s called reaching out for help and support that you need and you are entitled to. That is a bl%dy awful situation to be in for anyone.

As a short-term measure, can you go out again for a while ?

Does your case worker know ?

Please work with them to come up with a plan.

Is there another facility you can be moved to ?

Re: I just can't.

You are definitely not a drama queen @The-red-centaur - that situation would test anyone and you are doing so much better than I would be under the same circumstances. As @Faith-and-Hope has said you are reaching out for support and that is what we are here for - to support you

Re: I just can't.

@Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7
I talked to the staff and I've calmed down.
There's nothing the staff can really do, they can't control who visits the residents of the medium term program. That person can't come into the recovery program building at least. I'll be ok, it was just a shock seeing that person from my past again.
Faith-and-Hope there's no other facilities like this place in my city, and I like it here and I like the staff here so going some where else wouldn't be an option. And the said person can't hurt me, I just freaked out seeing him. The person has gone back to the unit of his partner.

Re: I just can't.

No doubt you were shocked @The-red-centaur but glad you talked to the staff and are more settled now. That is a huge achievement to seek that support and be able to talk about it - well done
