Why are words so hard to find? There are times that I desperately need to speak out or ask for help but simply can't because words abandon me. Everything is in my head but I can't get it out. I can't even write it down to get it out. When things are bad this just leaves me feeling more trapped.
It makes sense @CheerBear. I've been able to talk to them a bit about how hard it is for me to talk and it's something we are going to work on.

Re: Words
It's really good to hear that you've been able to talk about the difficulties in talking. I hope that it helps you to work on it with them @24601.
Do you find it helpful to have a stay/break like you are having?

Re: Words
It's been helpful in the past. I find I can struggle a bit with the doctors at times but the other staff are good. This time I'm finding it very difficult being around other people. I'm extremely noise sensitive and and can get very agitated by the smallest thing. I've barely left my room for the little time I've been here and have considered if I would be better off just going home. I don't want to have to rely on prn medication to help keep me calm enough to cope with being around other people and the reactions they cause me. But the fact is that I was not coping at home and needed help. If I was to leave now I'd be in the same position as before and it wouldn't end well. Honestly if it was just me I wouldn't care but I can't leave my daughter.

Re: Words
It must be hard being around others when you have that kind of noise sensitivity @24601. Do you have anything to keep you occupied or give you comfort/distraction in your room? (Please don't feel like you have to reply if you're not up to it or don't want to).
Sometimes I feel a similar way with my kids. I can't imagine where I'd be if I didn't have them as they give me my reason to keep going often. Sounds like it was the right thing for you to do to be there, even if it is hard there in a way too.
