Unfortunately my psychologist of 4 years has moved away. She was a DBT specialist which has been the only thing I've really felt helped . I have an eating disorder too. I currently see a ED psychiatrist for 30 mins a week. He has no knowledge of DBT, and it isn't treatment in the terms of seeing a psychologist. I'm not sure what to do. I feel I need to see a psychologist who has experience in DBT, but I can't afford to pay private fees. Is there any way of seeing a psychologist long terms without paying private fees?
Are you able to ask your current psychologist for a recommendation to a new psychologist? Or alternatively - your gp maybe able to help. You can Google DBT therapist and then call them and try to find one who will bulk bill. @Ginger12

Re: Psychologist advice
It's very hard with this 10 session limit @Ginger12. But if you ask, yiur old psychologist can send copies of his notes to your new psychologist, to give them a heads up. That might make the getting to know you a bit quicker. Don't give up trying to find someone.
