I am feeling better today. A few affirmative posts in my facebook feed. One was a photo in an article of a distant family member that looked just like my dad!

I have Good things to look forward to in my diary.

I am a bit concerned about my girl & boy, but that is never ending. Learning to sit with that.

There is a culture in this forum and like any culture it grows and changes and there are new people coming in all the time and it is amazing at times to consider this

I read back on my own thread and a couple of others to get a little of the concept of the changing culture and I was surprised a little at how many people were really active and just dropped away without my noticing - this is the way of on-line media I guess - one website I was in kept everyone's name in a window - or series of windows - and many of those people never contributed but then - that website was often read but other people I guess the same thing happens here and this is one of the aims I think - social distribution and circulation of ideas

I have been here for just over two years now and I seem to remember that people were discussing "labels" often - I remember saying something about everyone having a label and giving myself a long and complex one - I wonder where that is now - I remember it though

So - the forum is a living organism - and I know that members who don't post may be readingt and this is great - I like this - sometimes responding can be too much for me - other times I can hardly wait to respond - it must be a good day today - yesterday I was busy as I am on most Fridays

I want to ask if it is okay - what is a Community Elder? I only noticed that recently - but curious - I feel there are a bunch of sages here - and I perceive an elder to be a person with generous thoughts - meaning being generous with their wisdom - you certainly do that

And I think you are doing well with your interactions - and I know you have a lot going on in your personal life too

I think the mods gave the Elder "label" to people who had been on the forum a while before they had an expansion after advertising on ABC a couple of years ago. It was just before you joined. I was a guide for a year, but relinquished that as I wanted the freedom just to be me and not fill a specific role. Just means there is a lot of miles clocked up.

I really liked the feeling of your shoulder to lean on at times.

I am not prepared to be a community guide - I don't know if it would cause me to be different in any way but I really would not have the time to do the position justice - there are people who spend a lot of time here as they need to -

But I guess it is good to have a title like Community Elder - I like the sound of that - but I don't need a title to be a sage - I like that one myself actually

I like to be a shoulder for people to lean on - you and some others - I know it would be great if we could spread ourselves through the whole community - I would be spreading myself too thin if I did that - I am not sure how many people I am in contact with regularly - reaching out to other from time to time but this is how I do it - it is a really big forum here - and I notice mostly there are groups of people and that seems to be working

We all need a sense of balance - I get that from your posts - you are very thoughtful with what your post also and you have so much going on in your private life as well

Somehow the Sane website changes here and there.

It was a great summation of early threads on the topic.

Today I was online a bit and played piano. In a way this forum has become a form of church for me atm.

I havent been to irl church much @Former-Member A year after mum's death.

I pray, read theology, still do community work, love my family, and sing fine sacred music. I am still the same.

I know my story is hard to hear. Its been a lot harder to live.

The Churches need to address the Sexual Abuse issues without sweeping things under the carpet.

For the moment I am going where people treat me well, when I pull my weight.

Trying not to be dissappointed. Looking for the Rainbow.
