Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

America is not always the progressive nation @tyme

I have lived with that fear in the last 10 years... Because of the things I have seen here.

Please Australia be careful about how close we follow our allies in these challenging difficult times

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom I am so sorry you are not doing well

You survived because you are strong and resilient, you deserved to survive, you have not just survived but thrived

You've done so well, got a good education, helped lots of people (whether they realise it or not) with your protests, advocacy, supportive posts on forums, participated and run musical groups, indigenous ally, raised children and are now a grandmother and that's just what I know from forums.

I understand if you want to take a break from the forums, but I'll be looking forward to seeing your posts

Sending you much love

@Appleblossom . Many of us share your concerns, both here and overseas, inclcluding the US. Please take care. I'm not hopeful but I have faith Martin Luther King Jr is right in the moral arc of the universe being long but tending toward justice. There are many people of good will.

Thank you for your caring responses @Dimity always

Really good to make a new friend @Till23

@tyme @lola @rav3n

But really it has been my terror in the last 10 years for what they did to my son. But I have to control my fear cos I don't want it to impact my son.

I am better today, had a beautiful day playing beautiful music and stood up to the badly behaved psychiatrist, by making people laugh, but we are still not out of the woods....

Re: Fragile

Our conductor is trying to manage her @tyme but she is so pedantic, disruptive and attention seeking during rehearsal and upset quite a few people in the community in our festival away. She would not be happy, but I have to call her the "badly behaved psychiatrist" and maybe I am her karma. Idk. I feel considering the damage her profession has done to my family, I am being very restrained and polite. It's about interpersonal boundaries and respect and teamwork. She always wants the big solo. Eye roll....

I have known 5 psychiatrists socially, given the small sample sizes of some articles in the scientific literature I might be able to publish some interesting observations....
