Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Hugs Bella @outlander

Thank you I know you are recovering from surgery and had your own big family journeys and debacles. I always respect your caring for your grandfather. I did it too. Cooking for him when he was very weak. Riding my bike from Albert Park to Kingsbury to look after him when I was 18. No I wasn’t a wild bikie. The rest of mother’s family just sneered and jeered at me. They should have had respect that I had been working for 5 years, pulled my own weight, paid my rent and was able to afford a set of wheels, even if it was only half the usual. It was a 250. All I could afford.

Maybe this is just as good as it can get. Progressive theories about social change need reality checks like every good Schizophrenic. I am the daughter of 2 so allowed to push back, crack jokes and flip the script a bit.

I try and have some sense of humour with all the tragedy. I have always known others have it tough.

Re: Fragile

@Emelia8 can you please give Hannah a cuddle and kiss from me ?

@Shaz51 hey - I have a big smile on my face while saying this but I walked to the shops - ate a chicken pie and walked home whilst it all went through me in a diarrhoea bust and had to walk home. It did it last night too.......

This is what happens when you need your gall bladder out......

I bought fresh sliced fruit half price $5 for lunch and dinner before I had the accident. ..........,

I guess I better eat when near the toilet ......

@outlander love writing to you. How does it feel reading what happens when you get a bit older ?? 😉😹

What operation....... Iv got a pretty funny one ,,,, operation I had it's pretty X rated though so probably can't write it ........

Re: Fragile

it is hard sometimes hey @Appleblossom
i guess we pull strength from places we never knew existed when we really need to.
family can be the harshest critics and its those who often sneer at us. ive learnt its not worth hanging around them. since my pops gone into care i dont speak to many now. contact is non existent except for a very small handful of people that i can count on one hand!

i use humour as well. i feel the saying 'if you dont laugh, your cry' is all to true most days.

Re: Fragile

hey @PeppyPatti

If i am half as lucky to turn out as lovely as some of the older ladies here, i would consider myself blessed. age is just a number to me, plus with all my health issues, this young chicken gives the older bodies a run for their money lol.
I had a big operation the other day. Pelvic, uterine and abdominal surgery. it was alittle embarrassing to know where they would be for some of the surgery thats for sure!

hey @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @tyme and all here too

Re: Fragile

@Appleblossom

I have a half sister in America. She hated my Dad but when he was told didn't have long to live because of mesothelioma - asbestos cancer - she bullied him about money. Now my step mother advances with age, she tells my step mother she just wants the money.

We've been very close since my Dad died. Thats my step mother. It's been 14 years, me and my step mother- we talk almost every day most days on WhatsApp. . She is the mother I never had

I'm putting so much together.

Looks like my poor ol' half sister is aggressive as they come. I never write to her. She's scary.

Re: Fragile

@outlander you have no reason to be embarrassed about any part of the surgery.

As long as you’re recovering well and have a good post-op prognosis.

Physical, mental, emotional and financial health are all related.

Look after your body. It’s the only one you get.

Re: Fragile

im glad that you have a good relationship with your step mum @PeppyPatti
sometimes distance makes the picture clearer when it comes to aggressive people
