Fragile

Fragile

For a while I have tried to find a thread I had started when I joined the forum that could be a "home" thread for me.

Being busy about the forum has been a coping style, where I can acknowledge all my different life experiences that had been silenced. Possibly do some good and prevent things from getting worse. Like the little boy with the finger in the dyke.

Oooh Dear Friend @Shaz51

Thank you.

My son's birthday.

He got a book, mug, socks and head rub gift certificate. We enjoyed lunch, blueberries and peppermint tea. There is more to come.

I got triggered today by church morning tea.

1) Had to sit through a lot of Grandfinal talk,

2) A lovely mum had a cat like mine and little one year old. I realised how proscribed, silenced and prevented from relaxing or being after birth of my 2 biological children. I was robbed of my basic Motherhood rights and they were robbed of their birth rights.

The lovely mum was lovely and very like me in values and mothering style. I would never detract from her, it was my first time at their zoom morning tea. Bringing my sense of triggering here.

Happy birthday to your Son @Appleblossom

Glad you had a lovely lunch ❤

Sorry you were triggered this morning at church morning tea

I had to wipe my tears this morning at church as discussions came up about a few a things that are going on in my life and to top it off Mr shaz was affected by the talk and said we are not going anymore xoxo

Re: Fragile

Thanks @Shaz51 and @Anastasia

Sorry about your triggering.

I have not had a church for about 6 years, since I left CBD one.

We had a dinner he wanted and he has crashed, as he was up early.

I had a lovely walk with my new friend, and found an old bluestone road.

Also had a lovely phone call with an old friend and piano student, but very sad, as her husband, also an exstudent and friend is dying and its very tragic.

Hello @Appleblossom

I am so sorry that I missed your son's birthday ..

Wishing him times ahead ...opening doors for chances to reinforce his strengths and achievements..

The special birthday shared time sounds wonderful ..

You are a wonderful mum ...I hope that you believe this of yourself if not already are on a path of starting to..

Church experiences for me have always drawn overbearing people into my space..I have had some awful experiences when I took my older son aged 2 to a nearby church hoping to find a sense of welcome and eventually belonging..

Sadly this was not the case...

Belief...faith are still in my mind..

Dear @Sophia1

Thank you for noticing my post on my "vulnerable" goto thread.

Still feeling extremely vulnerable but all possible and necessary good steps have been taken.

Regarding mnotherhood, it is still very tricky. I know deep down I have done all I can genuinely dug deep and even on many general standards have done very well, but for some reason, it is still a walking on egg shells experience. Nothing to be taken for granted.

Hearing you about the problems of overbearing people within churches. Know what that is like, but finding council community cultures pretty much the same, in terms personality styles and politics, just slightly different wording and justifications. I am much more wary and not concerned with proving myself. I will go in shielded with spiritual sword and shield. I do need to make steps to end my isolation, for my own and my family's well being.

Your friendship means a lot.
