BabyDragon's Den

BabyDragon's Den

Hello, @Bunniekins, @Former-Member, @Snowie, @Former-Member, @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope, @Zoe7, @Former-Member, @OhanaSystem, @Jojo2, @Former-Member, @soul, @Appleblossom, @Shaz51, @outlander, @Former-Member, @Mazarita, @eth, @CheerBear, @Adge, @MDT, @Sophia1, @Silenus, @eudemonism, @TAB, @KobeCat and anyone else who pops by.

This is my special space and for now i will only talk here while i make myself feel safe.

For those tagged, it is because I connected with you on my previous profile. It is still going through the phase of being permenantly deactivated.

If you realise who I am or even if you dont, please do not mention my previous name for the sake of my sense of safety.

I am not up to talking about the specifics of my reason for changing but the basics are I felt I was in danger.

Anyway I will be sticking to just this thread till I feel okay to re-engage in others.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope and @Zoe7

The most difficult part of my morning is trying to vote but I keep freaking out in the leaflet river before the door. I have tried three times and not made it

Re: BabyDragon's Den

Stupid bi-elections @Former-Member - just put your head down, ignore everyone else and get in there to vote - once it is done reward yourself - maybe a nice coffee in the sun (if there is sun where you are today).

Re: BabyDragon's Den

Put your sunglasses on @Former-Member, raise your hand a bit like a barrier, and say “no thank you” to everyone who approaches you before they can speak to you ..... and walk past them all briskly.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

The Sun is kinda there keeps hiding though @Zoe7, I try to but it's difficult and the more I so no the more they move in with their leaflets wish I had done what I did last election and got a psych letter that tells them voting is too distressing and got an exemption

Re: BabyDragon's Den

Just take the leaflets then Hon and keep walking - pretend that you are looking at them but maybe think of each leaflet as a huge chocolate bar - might make you smile when you get them - imagine if they were chocolate and they were free lol

I go straight in when I have to vote - I go early if possible when there are not as many people around or they are just setting up outside the polling booths - miss the leaflet hand out and the sausage sizzles and whatever they have on then @Former-Member

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member thinking of you. Everything sounds so distressing for you right now. So difficult to open up to others when you've held the hurt and anger and fears and sadness and overwhelming sense of responsibility inside for so long. And so difficult to even think about trusting others, and questioning why they may want to help, and if they do say they want to help what are their reasons. And putting on the fake happy face and never feeling that it is ok to acknowledge your own needs.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Member, good suggestions from @Zoe7 and @Faith-and-Hope about voting today. I especially like the one about thinking of the literature as chocolate....be gentle on yourself..

Re: BabyDragon's Den

lol @NatalieS could you imagine how much better everyone would feel if all paper was chocolate - we wouldn't need to worry about getting old though - we would all die happily from a chocolate coma ... @Former-Member
