BabyDragon's Den

BabyDragon's Den

Hello, @Bunniekins, @Former-Member, @Snowie, @Former-Member, @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope, @Zoe7, @Former-Member, @OhanaSystem, @Jojo2, @Former-Member, @soul, @Appleblossom, @Shaz51, @outlander, @Former-Member, @Mazarita, @eth, @CheerBear, @Adge, @MDT, @Sophia1, @Silenus, @eudemonism, @TAB, @KobeCat and anyone else who pops by.

This is my special space and for now i will only talk here while i make myself feel safe.

For those tagged, it is because I connected with you on my previous profile. It is still going through the phase of being permenantly deactivated.

If you realise who I am or even if you dont, please do not mention my previous name for the sake of my sense of safety.

I am not up to talking about the specifics of my reason for changing but the basics are I felt I was in danger.

Anyway I will be sticking to just this thread till I feel okay to re-engage in others.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Membersounds like it is a really hard time for you. But you need to realise that you are doing the best you can for you.

Can you defer uni instead of quitting your course? Remember that uni is always going to be there even if it takes awhile to get back there. There are always short courses normally done through the local community that you might be able to undertake. They might not be as hard/stressful on you at the moment.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

That is a shame @Former-Member. It is so hard when things are out of reach for us. Seems like sometimes we are stuck and to get unstuck is super hard. Is there someone you can speak to about this?

Re: BabyDragon's Den

At the moment not really

Re: BabyDragon's Den

@Former-Membermost uni's have some sort of student support services in place to help students. They offer counselling too. Perhaps this is something you could look into.

What else do you like doing?

Hay @Shaz51, @Faith-and-Hope, @Appleblossom, @Zoe7, @Former-Member, @Bunniekins, @eth, @OhanaSystem, @Snowie, @MDT and anyone else I missed and to all who visit my den

Hope you are all doing well.
I too have not been on for a little bit @Hansolo01, but for different reason to you

Slowly and steadily getting myself back on track as I crashed.... hard
Unfortunately for me I have been put back on medication despite being without it for 9/10 months but it was meds or psych hospital and I hate hospitals of any kind so on the meds.
Im on a 'safety plan' as well but I personally dont get how it helps.
Any way I gotta go might be back later tonight

Re: BabyDragon's Den

Sorry to hear that you crashed @Former-Member but glad you are receiving the help you need.

Meds is better than hospital so seems like a compromise was needed

Look after yourself

Re: BabyDragon's Den

Glad you have stabilised a bit @Former-Member I have had to take meds to be safe too. Its best if it is a knowing and mindful decision, even if I feel not a great deal of choice in it .. ??

I was thinking of you and @OhanaSystem listening to the ABC in the car. It was a show about the potential positives in "compassion focussed therapy focussed therapy for voice hearers". They work with a concept of multiple selves and one of them is a compassionate self.

Hope you are both going alright.

Re: BabyDragon's Den

It is really nice to 'see' you back @Former-Member - in whatever capacity you can be right now. So sorry you 'crashed' hard though BD

I am the same with hospitals - hate them My gp and pdoc both know that and have managed to keep me out of hospital by monitoring me themselves regularly. They both agreed that the mere thought of hospital was too triggering in itself to even contemplate it... glad they were on my side with that one!

I won't be around later tonight - need to try to sleep early but I hope to catch up with you more soon
