Seeking mutual support from carers

Seeking mutual support from carers

Reaching out to others who are in a caring role. I look after my mother with multiple health issues, including depression and anxiety. I feel stuck. I can see the signs that the depression has reared its head but my mum doesn't see it. I really struggle when my mum's mental health suffers. I too battle with depression and anxiety. Emotionally, I am all over the place. Hoping there are some others out there who understand what I'm going through.

im still awaiting the pic to come up @Bella1978

i bet your tired too hey, worrying constantly takes it out of you. i hoep she agress to see the psych tomorrow or at least make an appt. fingers crossed.

atm ive got my lavender on, abit of music and my tiredness has switched to over tired and have hit abit of a need to use up my nervous energy so just seeing if theres any new memeber or chatting to some regulars as well.

i use to read alot but i cant seem to concentrate on the book. i find i read the same page over and over again

@outlander

far out the pics take their time! to they have to get approved before they can be seen by others?

worrying does exhaust us hey? yes, i will say a prayer tonight that mama behaves tomorrow

ooh that sounds very relaxing over there for you! thats what i forgot - my music. ok, im back ..music is on hehe

its hard when we get overtired as it is even harder to get to sleep!

i wish i read more than i did. i havent done my studying for a while but not stressing over that. too much other crap to deal with atm hehe

do you know why you find it hard to focus on the book luv?

x

can see it now @Bella1978 cant wait to see the final product! its looking loveley!

music i find rather helpful- seems it does the same for you too hey.

my fingers are crossed that all goes well tomorrow for you. will you mum speak to her psych or will you put it on loud speaker maybe?

um i think its because ive always got so much going on all the time i jsut find it really hard to concentrate. my artworks i can concentrate on but trying to read something for long times i tend to forget what ive written. i also dissociate quite alot- like brian overload so shuts down so i dont read i more stare at well nothing

Re: Seeking mutual support from carers

aaw thanks @outlander ... yes will be nice once it is finished, will take me a while i think but i'll get there 🙂

yup, love music. it is very calming and just nice to hear some noise in the background, instead of it being all quiet, you know? i especially love listening to music when i go for a drive.

thank you sweetheart re: tomorrow. the plan is that i ring him, if he agrees to see her (which he will cause i spoke to him today but didnt tell mum lol) ... so yeah, if he says he will see her, she said she will go and see him. he generally sees mum on his own and then sees me on my own to see how i view the situation.

thats understandable re: reading. it is hard to focus on reading when we have so much on our minds. that is why i have stayed away from my counselling studies atm. it is awesome that you have your artwork you can throw yourself into. arts and crafts is very different to reading, etc. sometimes i will do crossword puzzles , i find them relaxing. im using my mind but its not too taxing.

i get side tracked with these forums too lol
