Re: Seeking mutual support from carers
Hey @Shaz51
how are you feeling? i
i think mum's ferretin levels are quite high but her haemoglobin is quite low. i recall her specialist saying her iron stores are quite high but her body isn't using them as it should be.
what is proteinuria? i have never heard of that.
i came from seeing mum not long ago. she will be discharged tomorrow. she has improved which is nice to see and i think the less she has to stay in hospital the better. it's always different when we are in our own home environment. so keeping my fingers crossed that she will continue to improve when she is home.
how has your day been?
*gentle hugs*

@Bella1978proteinuria means theres too much protein in the urine. too much protein in the urine cn mean some sort of illness as normally there isnt much in a 'healthy' person. though i think it can vary a little bit depending on like taking high protein suppliments

hey sweets, yep looks like she'll be discharged tomorrow morning which will be nice. yes, i told mama there is nothing to worry about at home. i tidied up and even took photos for her lol ... but forgot to show them to her hehe.
she has definitely improved and im hoping that she will continue to improve whe she comes home. she has a really sore shoulder at the moment the poor luv which is know is bringing her mood down a bit - will get physio organised when she's back home again. one thing gets sorted, and another thing flares up for them hey?
i ended up just pottering around the house this morning and went to see mum this arvo and stayed with her while she had dindin 🙂

thats good @Bella1978 im glad she improving and doent matter about the pics, itll be a nice surprise for her when she gets home wont it.
oh the poor thing- one thing after another- sounds very similar to me. hows her uti going? do they know whats causing the sore shoulderr at all?
the way you speak is cute, jsut the language you use. chirpy and lots of character by the sounds of it.
my day was rather unproductive. just went to the shops and got a few groceries, trying to see if pop knows whats wrong wit my car but he hasnt looked. i have a feeling i know what it is and its going to cost quite alot to fix if thats the case will need to get it fied in june/july when i can get my loan and went to the drs which im feeling was a waste of time

it's a bugger when you think you've just gotten over one thing and 'bam' there's something else you gotta deal with! first thing i'll get on top of for mum is her shoulder when she comes home though. i think her uti has cleared up, and she is behaving more like herself again. mum has a lot of wear and tear in her shoulder. since she's been in hospital the past couple of weeks she has had a lot of pain. when the paramedics came to get mum to the hospital, they literally had to roll her around in the bed to get her on the thing to carry her out. either that, or staying in the hospital beds could be aggravating it.
aaw, thanks ... yeah, i have my cute moments lol ... but don't tell anyone 😉
oh no, what's happened to your car luv? cars can be so expensive to fix, can't they? i hope it's nothing major. a couple of months ago some little buggers broke into my car - they smashed the window but it didn't break fully so they yanked it out of the door - they stuffed up the mechanism in the door to wind the window up and down ... cost me $350 to fix - not happy jan!
no luck at the doctors? what happenned luv?

i know sometimes we dont know where to start hey @Bella1978 oh thats good about the UTi. the abx usually only take a few days to kick in but sometimes longer jsut depends on the person as we all react differently. a physio should help with her shoulder and give some exercies to do as well. hospital beds are rather uncomfortable. i found my back flared up quite alot while i was there for a week so i cant imagine longer than that.
lol cutie
i was in a car accident late last year and went over into a ditch and rough roading. i thought id fixed most of it all but i think the steering rack need replacing. it did take quite a hit but wasnt repaired at the time but it sounds like it might be getting worse so would rather fix it before its too late. my new car key (cause it broke) jsut cost me 150 yesterday and sent me broke but i need my car.
oh what buggers!! i wouldnt be very happy either! my car has 3 different security settings- one when you open the door with a key, one when you start it with the key while being locked and also it doesnt start without my specific key. love new modern cars lol.
no it doesnt seem they are listening. they want me to wait another few days and if its still swollen and painful like it is then they will reassess it. kepe taking pain relief which doesnt help, use anti-inflammes (which i cant due to stomach troubles) and use like voltaren gel which doesnt help at all.

oh wow, that would have been scary being in the car accident! were you ok???
so much for just getting a key cut for our cars, hey? lol ... they're all fancy schmancy these days! but yeah, the sooner you can get it fixed the better as you dont want things to get worse. hooly dooly, u sure your car has enough security settings? haha .. fortunately nothing valuable was taken from my car. they actually broke into my friend's car on the day too - we met at a park to go for a walk and the buggers smashed both our windows while we were walking pffft! but they took my apple and i was very hungry that day - so not impressed lol
gees, are the doctors waiting for your hand to fall off? its frustrating that they cant help you now, they want to wait until it gets worse. it does make sense, hey? it's okay for them as they are not the ones in pain.
