My journey

My journey

@Former-Member It's pretty hard when I do eventually open up
I remember what happened when I did prior then too a longgggg time ago. I was attacked!!! I am attacking everyone
Hence my song the other day on a music thread.

I don't expect responses and I don't feel left left out I have made it this far on my own and hid what i have been through repetively at times. It does not matter what I do when I don't talk about it I am doing something wrong when I do talk about it I am doing something wrong again

Re: My journey

I think you are already being a better person @Former-Member - you hve recognised that you were not nice to people and that is the first step. I have seen a lot of you on here and I find you to be a good person in what you write - there has never been a time when you have nit apologised if you think you have said the wrong thing and that shows your true character a far as I am concerned. You are wanting to better yourself and also be a good role model for your daughter and all of that is to be commended Hon.

Yes I worked in a women's shelter for a while - doing both crisis counselling and child support work. Both had their challenges but it was also very rewarding work - I also work in research at the same time so I had a pretty balanced work life between the 2 jobs.

Re: My journey

I need to relearn all over again. Just need to stay really focused & commit to a few things to help myself. We are having an early night here so hope you get a good sleep @Zoe7

Re: My journey

I believe you can do whatever you set your mind to @Former-Member and if that means relearning some things then that is what you will do. I am going to watch some of the football and then have an early night myself - will check in with you tomorrow though Hon. I hope you both sleep well

Re: My journey

Definately will stay focused I just made all low carb meals for tomorrow, it’s better than not eating and going down a vicious cycle because of the trauma and stress. So hoping I don’t feel guilty and fear tomorrow when it comes to that. I will put my mind on things that matter and work on improving myself for the better.

Just saw the footy quickly, enjoy it

Talk to you tomorrow @Zoe7

Re: My journey

I'm struggling a bit atm @Former-Member - couple of triggers that I am trying to cope with and still not feeling well. I'll be okay - just need to get over last night and get through this cold.

Re: My journey

I'm doing a little better now than I was this morning @Former-Member but it seems this cold has now gone to my chest as well -mhave a GP appointment tomorrow so can get it checked out. Hopefully there is no crackling in my lungs and it will pass with plenty of fluids and rest.

How are you going today?
