Re: Quote of the day / quirky poetry (anything goes)

Thanks Rhys. At various times I have found writing a good outlet. I joined a writing group once, but ended up leaving. They try to put you in a box. Make it like everyone is stamped out the same.

Well I want to write different things, in different styles at different times; depending on my mood etc..

Plus I admit I am rather stubborn. If I am told things can't be written a certain way, my response is; Why Not??

So I have a number of other quirky pieces.

Hey there wanderer. It is really nice to meet you too. I totally agree with about the Political thing. Some people in charge of the Group I joined, were just on a power trip.

I must admit I was a little disappointed earlier today as one of my poems was asked to be altered, by this Site. I put a big warning that it dealt with suicide, but apparently it was too specific for them.

It wasn't even graphic; I just felt it was a bit picky. Like again I was being put back in the box.

I pointed out how subjective writing is and how for people like me it is quite an outlet. However you wonder why you bother sometimes.

Hope to see you around the Site,

IsAnybodyThere.

@Former-Member people are always subjective to themselves, holding back on self judgement preferring self denial and not assessing themselves as other people see them while they objectively judge and point the finger at others

@Shaz51My quote of the week. “Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere”. 🙏❤️
