What if?

What if?

I want to create a space where we can use our imaginations...

there are so many of us on here who are so very creative in so many remarkable ways...

I also believe that we are all intelligent in differing aspects of thinking

we support and show compassion to one another

many of us feel different...as though we don't fit in....don't belong...

is this really because of society's way of treating us....stigma...I am not diminishing in any way people's struggles...they are very real...

we have humour...

or is it another phenomena

what if:::

we have travelled here from another zone

we are here to observe the medical profession...I love this one...

we communicate with each other....in the real world?

which is our virtual world?

So what if

willing to add some thoughts? anyone?

Sooohhhhh anyone who wants to put forward an idea....add the far side....who is bored...

What if

I am just adding a few names .....not excluding anyone...just struggling to remember...

@CheerBear @outlander @Zoe7 @NameUnknown @Former-Member @Former-Member @eth @Mazarita @Former-Member@Silenus @Faith-and-Hope @PeppiPatty @Appleblossom @Former-Member @soul @Determined

@eudemonism @Friendconnect

please if joining in add names I have left out...Out of respect I have not included at this time those who are particularly struggling so as not to offend....

@eudemonism....
If we can make a point to the so called "normal" people for once .. it's going to be a BIG win not just for you but thousands of others who never dare ask and question the system.

I am with you👍

Hello @eudemonism

@Former-MemberYea I'm going to test the doctor. And just ask for what I'm wanting from him. Instead of him reading from my file which is made up of professional opinion. And take things into my own hands. (for once) instead of relying and trusting and being subjective too professionals of a system that has been classified as broken. What if that works...?

Yes I am very pleased to read your response..

You have the right as a human being to be responsible for your health..

You have the right to tell your doctor calmly and assertively that your medication is no longer working for you..

You do not have to live your life struggling with side effects that are worse than the symptoms of your diagnosis..

you are aware that there are other medications that you can take in tablet form ..

emphasise that you can be trusted to take your medication now rather than injection..

This will be a new start for you...taking things slowly....

keeping a daily record of how you feel on new medication..to give precise feedback to your doctor..

Make double appointment...

we are here backing you...

@eudemonism

A person who tells lies hurts themselves as well as those they lie to..

telling a lie is not being true to yourself.....how can a person truly know..like..love the self if they are not honest..

there is no bravery or strength in being dishonest..

lies eradicate trust..

If someone lies to you..rise above them..be the better person..

Re: What if?

@Friendconnect I remember when I got off of my medication for seven months... I booked an appointment to see a doctor... To check out a mole on the inside of my butt cheek... Don't ask how I found it...... (please) (they say regular body checks for changes are recommended and if anything don't seem right get it checked bye a doctor) and I wind up getting a video camera appointment with a psychiatrist.... I was worried about that mole for years... And finally decided to get it checked... (very embarrassing for me to go through (when I finally got it done / was putting it off for years!) and yea... I get looped into a psychiatrists appointment... Then a second opinion was needed and I didn't show up (only spoke to them over the phone) ... And then get put onto a community treatment order... Then two nurses arrive at my house... And get taken to a rehab facility in the next major city... For three weeks and get forced to start takin the inject again...
From what I know... A diagnosis of schizophrenia cannot be made if the person is under the influence of drugs or the symptoms are being caused bye environmental factors (both applied to myself) it was a very stressful experience... Dealing with the mental health system and the professionals that work there... Take years too become adapted too.... and from the impression I'm getting.... It will be a life long ordeal if nothing changes... So yea, there you go... AND! I WAS TOLD BYE THE SUPPORT WORKER AND NURSES... 'I'M DOING FINE...' AND THE DOCTOR I WENT TO SEE WAS probably reading my health records which is based on a professionals medical based opinion that was months out of date and is coming from a system that is classified as broken... Not much room for a full recovery without medication in there... Eude... I had a major altercation with the support worker as well in the time I was off of meds... Literally picked on... He was taking steps toward me as I was retreating... He was looking for a confrontation... No doubt about it... - What if they are all in the wrong? I think the doctor felt deprived of being able to connect to a patient through suffering... I was feeling like jogging and running on my walks... But as soon as I got the first injection again... It was a struggle just too walk... Hey.

Re: What if?

@Former-Member and @Friendconnect and during the time I was off of my medication. I get a call from the new girl at mental health who asked me to come up too the mental health facility and do another mental health plan and answer a pysch assessment questionnaire. (I've answered one before and when I'd finished the nurse said 'that was close') they use it to gauge someone's mental health a story assess If medication is needed... I mean seriously? A set of questions which have the options of five boxes to answer from. Stuff like. Very little. Not much. None. Some. And a lot. And I was told that...'i'm a little distressed...' Again, caused bye drugs or environmental factors... And the new girl that done it... The look on her face when I was speaking mentally well stuff over myself and my life... It Was the look of surprise and the look of disgust... I was seriously thinking to myself... Haven't they got anything better to do? Then to call a man up who's trying to escape the mental health system.... To do a mental health care plan and answer a pysch assessment? Which was a very stressful and traumatizing for me to go through... And on top of that... They ain't even done anything to help me achieve what I wrote down for my mental health care plan... The one thing I wanted help with... And their reply was 'I can't do anything about that...' well why call me up in the first place to fill out my mental health care plan? What if the system is really broken?

I am angry that you have been treated this way again..

I feel for you so much

not being listened to..heard..being dismissed is one of the cruelest mind games..

you would not be alone..

I am not sure which state you are in..no need to tell me..important to keep your anonymity safe..

you can lodge a complaint..

however you need to consider your state of health foremost..

ph 1800 066 069 is an advocate for mental health number...they will at least listen

they are there to help people like ourselves be treated with respect

dot point main issues before calling to make it easier and you will sound more assertive..I use this system all of the time..

again if you are over it at moment..just be gentle with yourself and keep on writing

Re: What if?

Sorry for putting that on your thread at @Former-Member too much caffeine and nicotine yesterday plus the pen tablet. I'm not real worried about complaining. They did the right thing. It was more about my feelings. But yes... What has stressed me out most of all today? It's involved with what they said they couldn't help me with.

Re: What if?

@eudemonism

you can talk to the advocate about what they said that they could not help you with..

the advocate will want to listen to you..

It is not a complaint as such..

some possible assistance in getting some answers that you need..

if all too much at the moment..let it be for now..

calm down and be kind to Eude

take care
