Re: catching up

Karen, I think it is time to tell them if they can't do the job, you will find someone else. I think they are trying to rip you off, please try to tell them to give you a fixed quote so they can't change it again.

Karen please try to take regular breaks from the pool, i know it is hard, but even just go for a walk to the car and back will make all the difference.

OMG still the spider, i thought he/she would have relaised by now they are not welcome. OMG Karen are you for real, the sun visor, OMG i would have ended up in the paddock. I hope you check it when you get into the car!!!!

Karen did you use the Mortien professional, it comes in a bottle not a spray can.

Re: catching up

Hi @NikNik,

Oh yes we have plenty around here too, luckily for me not in the car!!!!! it is a sign of a healthy garden, and they are big and scary, but i do tell myself that they are more scared of me than i am of them.

I know i really miss the Friday feast too, i am just not confident enough after the trouble with @Former-Member, i am so frightened that i will upset someone, my people skills are lacking some what and i don't know what is right to say and what is not.

Their are many great people on here i know, and i don't want to disrupt the harmony on the forums by saying something stupid.

Hope you enjoy the Friday night feast. Thank you so much for the invite.

Jacques

Re: catching up

There is nothing I can do I signed a contract that I cant get out of. Lets hope it passes the counsil inspection next week.
they also told me they are going to charge $15 for every 100mls of concrete they have to put back into the holes. And there are 100 holes I cant even work it out seeing every hole is different but most are around 1.5 meters.

I will be alot more careful next time. I even had my parents check the paperwork before I signed.

Re: catching up

Karen if you signed a contract, it should also have in the print that prices are fixed?

Any changes in price or the way they do the work null and void? please read carefully the contract, their has to be a clause in their for how they do the work. they sound like they are playing you, please reread the contract. do you have a solicitor? maybe they can read the paperwork

Re: catching up

Thanks j I look forward to seeing it when it comes through.

I have thousands of dollars worth of tools thats a great idea to engrave them I will have to do that when I move in.
my husband spent so much on quality tools. Especially for renovating, gardening, and car restoring.

Re: catching up

Karen that does not make sense, $15 for every 100ml, a 20KG bag of concrete is only $10, and it is roughly $332 for 1.5 cubic meters or there abouts, and that is delivered, i don't understand why they are charging for 100ml, you can't even buy it in such small amounts. you would be better ordering and entire truck load yourself
