Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson not a life sentence.

Re: catching up

Hi my angel,

I am so glad you enjoyed last night too :), how are you this morning?

My angel what a beautiful saying, so true, we both need to try harder to let go of the past and look to the future, it is bright for the both of us 😄

My angel you still have so much to offer the world, i am learning something new from you every day, the strength, courage and grace you show each day is so amazing.

my angel, i do hope the day treats you well, i am looking out the window right now at the sheep, they are grazing, just enjoying the day, the chickens are clucking, (i love the sound of clucking chickens 🙂 ) and the cattle are having a morning snooze under a shady tree.

i am measuring up for some tiles for the shed, my goodness it is complicated the math to figure ou how many tiles one needs. i think i have my measurements, so i will be interested to see if my maths is up to scratch or if i need to go back to school 😄

Hugs my angel

Jacques

Re: catching up

Thanks Jacques

I spoke to mum again about going to hospital so I will be safe.

She said she wont support that .
That the past admissions have been a waste of
time.

I feel that I've had my last option taken away from me.

Re: catching up

Good morning @hiddenite and @Jacques

I'm glad to hear that you two enjoyed catching up last night

@hiddenite, I love what you said earlier:

"Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson not a life sentence."

I think everyone could benefit from keeping your wise words in mind, as they highlight our ability to shape our own futures, learning from the past without being constrained by it.

@hiddenite it's great that you are considering a range of options for keeping yourself safe, including going to hospital, good on you.

I'm sorry to hear that your mother said she won't support you going to hospital. Sometimes family members can be resistant to people getting the help they need, which can make already challenging decisions around your wellbeing even more difficult. If family members are creating barriers to people accessing treatment, sometimes they can attend a session with a member of the person's treating team so that everyone can get on the same page and come up with a constructive solution. I believe that your treating team is back from holidays in the next few days, do you think it would be possible to involve your mother in a session, to help her understand your treatment needs and/or give you the space to make your own decisions around looking after yourself?

Re: catching up

Hi Shimmer

Every admissions mum has met with my treating team. She has been offered her with the girls and support in helping me when I am unsafe.
she has refused all the offers given to her. When she comes back from a meeting she says they are wasting her time. That she doesn't want or need support.
I know my safety issues won't be resolved without an admission. I can't gi private they wont take a crisis admission.
I feel im out of options

Re: catching up

Hi @hiddenite,

I see, it sounds like your mother is very set in her ways in being resistant to services offered, for both you and herself. I imagine it's really distressing that you don't have her support. In terms of her refusal to support you going to hospital, is it the practical support of looking after your girls that you need from her, or do you feel that you can't admit yourself without her approval altogether, or both?

Re: catching up

@hiddenite, I also wanted to add that I hear that you are feeling like you are out of options at the moment. It seems like this feeling has been strong and persistent over the past week or so, and I imagine that it is very distressing for you.

My focus in my responses to you right now have been aimed at problem-solving around your preferred option of a hospital admission. However we can also discuss other strategies, either here or via email.

I hope that your next appointment with your treating team is very soon so that you feel more supported. In the meantime, remember that you have managed to get through every difficult day you have ever encountered, and can again. We are here to support you along the way.
