Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

My husband is still in pain with his neck but is doing good. I have never met such a strong minded person - he doesn't want to upset me but I can tell. He is such a good man. Putting off the operation has taken the pressure off us somewhat so my health is picking up now.

The move is exciting - you are planning to do exactly what we have done. Down sized (less stress and upkeep) with everything brand new on a smaller plot of land by the sea. We are on the same wavelength @Former-Member and I think this will take the stress of both of us. Your dream will happen. Mine took awhile to happen - we should be in our new home by the end of this year. They have only started building....I can't wait. More time for my volunteer work, exercise, stitching and friends.......So much of my time is taken by housework 😬(Our current house with verandah is 50 squares). It's getting too much for us now.

How is your daughter going?

Ah Wednesday will be a good day for you @Former-Member - it will be the start and feel good - like it's finally starting to happen. Let me know how it goes.

Yes, I loved visiting display homes - keeps the dream alive. And it will happen in time for you @Former-Member. Yourself and daughter will really enjoy the display village - a new home, a new beginning with less stress. It will be good for you both.

I use to live South on a farm in a cold region - the weather is harsh and windy, but the surrounding environment was beautiful. I like living on the East Coast of NSW - it can get humid in summer but the weather is perfect for me really. And the sea breeze fixes the stress of the heat. I love it here - the coastline is beautiful. So is Queensland, a lot of my friends moved there but it's a tad too humid for me. You might enjoy the temperate areas more @Former-Member or getting closer to the ocean in a new townhouse or apartment? So many endless possibilities- it is exciting. Keep the dream alive in your mind and see yourself where you want to move, to be.

That is sad how you use to be best friends with your daughter's father and now not so much @Former-Member 😓. My first marriage was like that. It's a shame that people can change.....That must get you down.

Boy a quarter of an acre is a lot of land. We don't see that much where I live - everything is small blocks, land so expansive. It can be stressful living so close though...

I use to farm 40acres, could not do that anymore.
