I can't wait until YOUR daylight saving ends; I often feel so rushed to catch up with everyone in the east before you log out to retire @Snowie.
I have had a bit of a meh day- I don't feel physically so great right now, but I think I possibly had such a stressful week mentally, but physically I haven't been drinking enough fluids or eating very well. So I am little blah right now. And I had to contend with a very packed train of football fans on my way back from the BBQ who refused to move down. When I said 'If Londoners can do it, so can you'- lol- I was promptly told to go back home. I replied that I was already there. Sheesh- what a lot of BS.
I would have caught the second train to get home, but that also would have had these people on it to drop them off at the fancy new stadium- my stop is well after that- so I thought there was no way I was getting on another packed train. I don't know if I should have shut that thought down and sucked it up, because as I went through the city to get the bus, I came across the refugee protesters (It is Palm Sunday today).
That made me even more angry, as this time last year, an ex-friend of mine was present at this event. She had dumped me about a year or so ago, no reason at all, contact suddenly ceased and I couldn't get any response with messages, email or voice mails left. I went to this event initially to support it, but I knew this woman was a supporter. All I wanted to do was ask her if we could talk, but as soon as she saw me (before I opened my mouth) she turned away from me and said 'No. Go away. Just fk off and go away. I never want to see you again'. I was floored that she would humilate me in front of her friends, co-workers and the public. It made me feel very, very, very low, and I couldn't even make it home until I had spoken to SCBS.
So obviously coming across this event (I haven't even thought it tbh) a year later scared the hell out of me, but I was so angry as well. I thought if i dared to see her, she would have a verbal vitriol right back at her. Thankfully I didn't. But I was upset to see people paying money for t-shirts and other commercial items when that money could be used for so many practical things, like sanitary items for refugee women, or clothing, etc. This refugee protest group and the associated student ones have been around for some years now. Have they acheived anything? Nope, nada, zip! Sorry (meekly climbs down from soap box and slps out of the crowds). Rant over.
Have you relaxed a little after overdoing it? Quite night planned at your house? How is your husband, and more the point you, after the other day?
