Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Good morning all, hope today has some good in it for you all.

Last night I took some extra meds which meant I got about 7 hours sleep. Still groggy now so will wait a bit until I can drive down the street. Luckily someone was able to take the kids to school. Unfortunately the sleep has done nothing to help those thoughts so another day of just trying to get through it.

I am not sure if I start a new thread on it, but how does one tell their other half/partner about how they really feel. I think I might take @Faith-and-Hope suggestion and write it down b/c I coud neve say it to his face. But what to write. If I am completly honest I would be telling him that I am done, I don't want this life, I don't want to be a burden, they are better off without me and I am just dealying the inevitable.

It is so super hard to tell someone you care about exaclty how you are feeling. I know he wants to know, I know he cares, I know all that, but it is super hard to even write.

Where do you being? have people done this before?

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie,

Don't want to effect the flow of this convo, but couldn't help think that this would be a great topic to start a new thread on if you feel you can I can only imagine how hard it is to fight our own feelings of self stigma around what we are going through, let alone try to explain them to someone close to you.

I can imagine that a lot of people here would have thoughts around this too.

The important thing is to try to break that cycle of thought and remember you are worthy of love, and worthy of being heard and supported. Be open to how a conversation like this may go - it is a great start that he shows interest. Maybe if you can get to a place to write it, you could possibly write him a letter? Find a way to communicate that makes you feel as comfortable as you can be for something challenging like this

Great peers here supporting you helps too!

Re: My special place

@Former-Memberthanks for your reply, will start a new thread when I feel that I can.

It is hard however when you feel you are not worthy of anything.

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie ...... good morning ..... I am glad you slept. It will help you physiologically (body health-wise) even if it doesn’t feel like it has helped mentally and emotionally. Supporting our physical bodies is part of the long term healing of everything else.

I would suggest writing it into a letter, but then talking it over with your psych ...... because the feelings you have about your husband, and the guilt and worry of it, are all part of your circumstances, and important too.

That is what @Former-Member is alluding to ...... this is an ongoing issue and a big part of relationships that revolve around, or include, mental health issues. When you feel able to, open in a thread about this will be supportive for you as you hear other forum members affirm that they feel the same way, and are struggling with that issue too.

💜
