Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

What have you been up to @Snowie - lots of kid related things or some time for yourself also?

Re: My special place

@Zoe7 I could not have made this stuff up. It has been a day of, well I will just try to describe it.

So today has been one of those days.

To make a long story short had to contact someone by phone this morning for my mum since she didn't have her phone and there was no other option. Was extremey awkward and am scared of what will come out of this. Am afraid if they think that they can contact m.e now even though H told them awhile ago not to contact m.e ever again. Has brought on a day of flashbacks and dissociation.

So after that 8am wake up call (well her knocking on the door) we have to go and help my Mum move. She used to live with us (in her own unit), moved out about 4 months ago but has since moved back in today. So 4 trips later and lifting numerous furniture, we have moved her back to her original unit.

So after all that took D to an appointment.

I think that is it, are you sorry you asked @Zoe7 !!

So now just trying to get rid of those flashbacks and trying to give my thoughts a break. Just need a break from reality.

Re: My special place

Oh shite @Snowie No not sorry I asked and feeling super privileged you shared that with me

I presume the person you had to contact is the one that is causing all these flashbacks - omg that took soooo much strength to do Hon ...I certainly don't think I could have done that in your shoes.

So yes I can very much understand both the flashbacks and dissociation ...and more than happy to be sitting here with you, keeping you company and providing an ear to unload on.

I did not know your mother had moved out - how are you going to cope having her back in the unit?

Re: My special place

You are right hun, the one that I had to contact is causing all the flashbacks. If there was any other way of doing it I would have but unfortunately not. There was so many mixed feelings happening and with my Mum, H and kids there this morning, it was even harder to pretend that everything was ok when it was all happening. Yeah she moved out awhile ago but I think realised how good she had it here so moved back today. Hoping she is a little better and grateful for eveything we do for her.

I will be barracking for your Lions tonight @Zoe7 Hoping they win and get into the grandfinal next week. Dinner done sounds good. Even better that you have made enough for tomorrow night, you can have a night off cooking. I am sure Tobes will watch the footy with you tonight, well sleep whilst you watch it maybe!!

No need to apologise hun @Former-Member

We all cope with things in different ways, sometimes they are good ways and sometimes they are unhelpful ways. Keep reaching out sweetheart 💌💌

Re: My special place

I do really hope your mum is both grateful and nicer to you @Snowie Do not be afraid to set some boundaries with her either Hon - if she has mived back then she must have realised how good she has it there and how much you do for her so letting her know what you will and will not put up with is totally in your control now ...otherwise she moves out again! I know that seems harsh but you deserve to live in your own home with some peace and happiness and certainly don't need her 'attacking' you or putting you down again - you are so much more worthy than that sweetheart.

Yes Tobes will no doubt sleep right through the footy ...unless it becomes close and then no doubt I will begin pacing around the loungeroom
