Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Sounds like you are quite busy @outlander

It's been a hard day here. Lots of flashbacks today and two rounds of TMS.

I don't want to hold you up hun.

Re: My special place

your not holding me up at all @Snowie its only a glossary thing and besides I have 2 weeks in this module and im more then halfway through it already.

im sorry you've had so many flashbacks today, has anything triggered them do you know?

oh wow 2 rounds of TMS! that sounds pretty intense! are you feeling quite tired now after those sessions?

Re: My special place

Sounds like you are on top of things @outlander

Are you enjoying the course?

I've had a few things set me off today, none I can talk about on here though.

Two rounds a day does tire me out. I don't think it will be a late night anyway. It's hard to sleep in here with the noise around however.

Re: My special place

@Snowie its just the dementia course. I wasn't interested in it in the first place so struggling with motivation to do it.
Its ok atm though, its more learning about a few body systems and the way they work rather then dementia part so im more interested in it atm. the program has a pretty good virtual classroom for quizzes though where its more of a clipart version diagram but I can go over it with a microscope tool and it makes it into the real version.

hopefully the triggers ease tonight and tomorrow. its hard to manage them sometimes isn't it..
do you have your own private room or is it shared? is there a lot of other people in the ward atm or just a few noisy people?

Re: My special place

Hopefully its beneficial to you @outlander especially with your pop. Hopefully it gets more interesting for you.

I have my own room and bathroom hun. The ward I am on is pretty quiet, just a few loud people around. I had tea in my room again as its too busy in the main dining area. so I just go down, get it and go back up to my room.

I went for a walk today for about an hour and a half. It was nice to get out of the 4 walls. Quite warm here today.

Did you do much today besides your studying?

Hi @Snowie waves to @outlander

Snowie, that sounds pretty rugged, having two sessions of TMS in one day. I thought it was only done once a day? Do you get any side effects from the treatment? I know so little about TMS, so apilogies for all the questions @Snowie . How long before you are likely to start seeing/feeling some benefits?

Re: My special place

that's good you've got your own room and bathroom @Snowie I don't think id like to share a room in a psych ward. I had my own room too but shared dining and bathrooms (there was 2 though so wasn't any dramas if others wanted to shower etc) and was pretty quiet so wasn't to bad.
some people are pretty loud characters though hey! hopefully they'll tone down a little in the time that your there so its abit quieter.

a walk sounds lovely, did you go on your own or did you have H and kids?

I had one of my event works so was out of the house from 930 and got back about 430, sorted dinner out and done a load of washing. so now just chatting here, writing out a few glossary terms and listening to music.

ill have a shower abit later since I prob stink of horses and dirt and dust and various other things 😏
