My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Hi @Snowie,

Yay for not feeling like you are in jail!!!!! I can imagine what a relief that must be. Every psych ward I've ever been in has been a locked ward so it has very much been like being in jail!

I look forward to hearing what sorts of cool things happen in a private psych ward. My understanding is that you get to participate in various groups, is that right? I super hope you find it helpful.

Hi @Phoenix_Rising yes does not feel like jail anymore!! Yes there are different groups everyday. Today I did some things on mindfulness and some meditation today which really relaxed me. Tomorrow I get to make a glitter jar😀 looking forward to that one. Was also able to feel the sunshine on my back today ☀️ So that was nice. Will keep you all informed on what I get up to!!

@Snowie Oooooh glitter jars are SUPER!!!!!! I super like TTT's one. I'm thinking of asking her if we can make one together in a session, for me to have at home. Oh your hospital stay is definitely looking up now, Snowie!

@Snowie- morning hun. I need some time out from the forum at the moment, but I cannot stay away too long from my sisters. For you are what sustains me when everything seems hopeless.

I have to say I'm very, very proud of you yesterday for standing up to the pdoc. And it sounds like you had a day that was relaxing, productive and enjoyable. I hope you continue to find it helpful. No doubt there'll be challenges, but you're in a safe, supportive environment to help you with that.

So today has been ok. Finally got moved to another unit so that has given me a bit of freedom. I like being moved but at the same time the comfort of knowing the people around me has gone. Now sitting in a di ner room with 50 other people but feeling alone.
Went to a session about depression this morning. Went through symptoms, thoughts and feelings. Could relate to so much. Didnt get to my make a glitter pot group this afternoon, was in the process of moving. Hopefully i can make one next week.
Hubby and the kids came in which always makes me upset and anxious.
Might curl up in bed tonight with the BBT as i can finally have my laptop now.

I'm super glad you got moved. Hopefully you will get to know the other people and thus feel less alone super soon.

I'm sorry to hear that seeing hubby and the kids makes you feel anxious and upset. Do you have any sense of why that is?

that good youve moved but sounds abit unsettling @Snowie i hope it still goes well and you can adjust abit more again after a day or so. its good to hear about the things your trying as well, maybe they will have a glitter pot class again this week. good you got to see your family, maybe youll be allowed out of the ward for a little bit for their visits.... and good you can wach BBT as well!
