My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

I'm doing OK today. I had a very busy day but that's OK. I can sleep lots next week. My mum came down from her housesit about an hour way. Her sister lives in the same town so bought her down. It was nice to see her. I had a number of appts to attend but we had lunch together and spent some time at home. She's gone now and won't be back until Monday afternoon.

I'm trying to do some of my assignment tonight but I'm very tired and it's only 6:30 here! I decided as long as I get the assignment done, I could actually do the editing next weekend even if I'm in hospital. I'm likely to be bored by then, so it'll fill in some time.

Not long now until. Monday. I had to write a 'to do' list so I don't forget anything.

yes some medications are really expensive esp when they aren't on the pbs. its one of the reasons I didn't want to go back on the medication ive started again. hopefully your pdoc can work something out for you.
yes a walking chemist is something i relate to as well. thankfully im not on as many now

Yes @outlander. Monday is my surgery date. I have to be at the hospital at 6:30am.

@Snowie - my pdoc gives me a voucher for 'off-label' non PBS meds so I only pay the concession price. I know you're in a different state but it might be worth asking if this could apply to you.

I'm quite anxious about my surgery @outlander but I have confidence that I have good clinicians taking care of me. I am anxious about complications and having to return for more surgery..And careless, judgemental nurses

As @outlander said, the surgery has come around quickly hun.

I am not surprised you are anxious about it, it is a big surgery hun. I hope you get some caring nurses. Does make a world of difference.

We will be here for you hun. Cant be there but can be there in spirit.

all very valid worries @Sans911 though I hope the care you receive is caring and non-judgmental from nurses and all your treating team. Im glad to hear you have confidence in the clinicians though.

Thank you @Snowie. I told my pyschologist that if I got a judgemental, uncaring nurse that I would possibly leave hospital. She said to call her first if it was that bad and she would come and see me as soon as she could. As soon I can let you know I'm OK I will but it might not be Monday.
