My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

@Snowie - good to hear you're settling a little. As long as you can continue to show that, talk to the nurses even if it's just a little bit, and use prn meds when you need them, there's no reason why they won't let you into the main part tommorrow or Monday morning. Tell the pdoc that you see that you've been pretty anxious as this is a first admission, that yes you still have SI/SH (no point not telling the truth as they'll know these haven't gone away) thoughts, but you're doing your best to be open to other coping strategies.

Hi all,
Slept ok lasy night even with them coming in every 15 mins to check. I am hating this waiting around. Pdoc is meant to come in today, have asked and they are not sure when she is coming in. Might not be till tomorrow now. Med change has not even started yet so have been sitting here for over 2 days now getting more and more anxious. Will leave tomorrow if nothing has happened. I know this is better then the public system, but so i might as well be home if nothing is going to happen.
So frustrating and upsetting atm.

I didnt knoe pdocs come around on weekends? I thought they only come around to patients of a weekend unless having to admit them to a ward.
Hopefully she will come around tomorrow when the actual work week starts up....

Hi @Snowie,

Wow, that really sucks. It makes no sense to me at all that a private hospital charges a fortune and yet you are still sitting around just like you would be at home. I can definitely see why you are frustrated about this.

@Phoenix_Rising it does super suck anf is actually makung my mental health wirse instead of better. Have been told pdoc is coming around today still so hoping that is soon

Iv been in public and private and nothing happens on weekends. Nothing. Monday is when it all starts. You will see the difference. Just stick it out. Thinki ng of you. 💖💓❤❤

@Snowie - I know you are really, really frustrated & anxious right now but please don't leave. You'll definitely be seen tommorow by the pdoc if she doesn't come today. She's the only one who can start the med change. You'll probably find lots of things happening tommorow. It can the same in the public but registrar pdocs are usually around with the consultants coming in on weekdays. And talk to the nurses about your frustrations. That usually gets them calling some Dr, if not the pdoc. Why you weren't seen on admission is odd

@Sans911 i was seen on admission by this pdoc and she was the one who said she would come back in on sat or sun. I dont know why they admitted me on a friday anyway if i was just going to sit here for 2 days and do nothing.
